A woman upset about a haircut she'd gotten at a North Park barber shop on Wednesday returned a few hours later and allegedly tried to gun down the barber, who escaped harm only because the weapon jammed.
Adrian Blanche Swain, 29, allegedly tried to open fire on the barber with a pistol at the barber shop in the 3900 block of 30th Street shortly before 12:30 p.m. She allegedly pulled the trigger three times to no avail, according to San Diego police Sgt. Ray Battrick.
``The gun had bullets but malfunctioned,''

She sobered up.
After 4 years of Marine haircuts, anything short of scalped and blood is presentable...
Picture of the Amish perp with a very large trailer in the vid
Jammed? Sounds like a double action semi-automatic without a bullet in the chamber, It didn’t jam.
Following the FR tradition of not reading the article, did it mention the make of gun?
Nothing newsworthy here. Just another violent black person.
Watch out for them.
“A few lesbians in our area do go to a barbershop, but then again, they are getting men’s hair cuts.”
A butch for Butch.

Since they heard a “click” you’re probably right. The barber was lucky his assailant was an idiot and probably high as a kite ... she apparently shaved off the hair on the side of her own head and went back to the barber to blame him. Looks like a nice black owned local shop with a mixed race clientele.
Did not mention the make and model.
I don’t think it jammed. I think somebody thought that slides rack themselves.
Are you kidding? Given the gun literacy of most journalists the gun would probably be identified as a sawed-off fully automatic derringer.
Or, possibly de-cocker/safety engaged and trigger pulls produce a click but no hammer action.
“Well, I know how she feels”
So do I! I once got a less than competent haircut from a 85 year old Italian barber who had a touch of Parkinsons. I getting ready to complain, until he came at me with the Straight Edge offering a shave. I was so glad to escape with my life, I gave him a big tip and left quickly.
Probably the case.
I'm thinking that Adrian's mugshot for other bad behavior is the same woman.
Probably told by her "fiancé" it was a lousy cut so she was justified for attempted murder!
The fiance knows her. So, I am guessing he would know not to tell her that.
I guess she doesn’t know that the difference between a bad haircut and a good haircut is two weeks.
Kind of like Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme years ago.
