Woman Tries to Shoot Barber Who Cut Her Hair (Gun Jammed)

A woman upset about a haircut she'd gotten at a North Park barber shop on Wednesday returned a few hours later and allegedly tried to gun down the barber, who escaped harm only because the weapon jammed.

Adrian Blanche Swain, 29, allegedly tried to open fire on the barber with a pistol at the barber shop in the 3900 block of 30th Street shortly before 12:30 p.m. She allegedly pulled the trigger three times to no avail, according to San Diego police Sgt. Ray Battrick.

Bit odd to go to a barbershop for a woman’s haircut ... (Hint: It is why they are not “hairstylists” my darling!)

A few lesbians in our area do go to a barbershop, but then again, they are getting men’s hair cuts.

I frequently hear of shooters who were stopped in their tracks because their guns jammed. Presumably these are semi-autos, since something would have to go extremely wrong for a revolver to jam. It is therefore surprizing that the anti-gun people seem more concerned with keeping semi-autos out of the hands of bad guys.

According to the report in the vid, she gave the barber a $20 tip on top of the $20 haircut, so apparently she was quite pleased it initially. Maybe it didn’t wear well. ...after a couple hours.

The 29-year-old woman, identified as Adrian Blanche Swain, was arrested and charged with attempted murder, San Diego police said.

Swain had been at the 619 Barber Shop on 30th Street near University Avenue earlier in the day where she had a design shaved into her hair, said customer R. Williams.

He said she seemed happy with the new ‘do. But a short time later Swain came back. It appeared that she had shaved the design off her head, he said.
