AUSTIN (AP) - Austin police say an unarmed nude teenager was fatally shot by an officer in an altercation partly captured by patrol car video. Police on Tuesday identified the person who died as 17-year-old David Joseph. (snip) Joseph was black, as is the officer.

Sort of. But what is clear is the life of David Joseph did not matter.
The officer wasn’t black so there is n money to be made. Move along.

The Brits have this one right. Many cops should only have a billy club and whistle.

Black lives only matter if the black person killed was trying to kill a white male who then defends himself.
Doesn’t matter if he was unarmed or had his clothes on. Did this ‘teen’ present himself as an active threat to any officer or did he resist arrest? I bet yes to one or both.
As does the title, unarmed and nude. People do not realize that an unarmed person may present a real threat that cannot be taken lightly. If that unarmed person is able to gain control and grab the weapon of the officer, it would then be, the previously armed officer who was shot to death by a naked teen.

Why do you hate police so much? Why do you believe in putting officers on the street at all, where they could be hurt? After all, since killing is basically justified for police to commit under any circumstance whatsoever, since all criminals, even naked teenagers, are presumed lethally dangerous, then why shouldn't we just replace street cops with missile drones? Then the cops can stay safe in bunkers operating the drones, and just blow up anyone who, how'd you put it? Oh yeah, "asks for it."

As long as the bad guys only have a billy club and a whistle I would agree.
There is not enough present to make any real assessment as to why the officer felt compelled to shot.
About the only thing can surmise is that the teen was not shot because of his color, unless it can be proven that the black officer hated blacks.
