ONTARIO, CA (KTRK) -- A couple was married this weekend in California just five minutes after meeting each other for the very first time.
Erica Harris and Arte Vann say they fell in love with each other last year after a courtship that began on Instagram.

I witnessed something similar 16 years ago with my sister in law. I was the only family member at the ceremony. Met one day and got married the next. I was literally there the first time they met face to face. They lived in Europe, and the marriage lasted 13 years. It had a lot of issues going into it and even more upon exit.
Good for you bro.
Well, I hope it works. One year of knowing the person is still a lot more than many have had before some of their impulse/vegas weddings.
From the picture alone, that is highly debatable.
And she’s not letting go of that telephone! Incredible. I’m too old to have to have a telephone pacifier in my hand constantly so I fail to understand it. My husband was in the hospital a week ago and when our daughter visited, she sat in the room using her phone the entire time. Don’t know why she made the trip. If I ask her if she saw a certain email I sent her, her reply is, “I don’t spend all day on email.” That’s when moms like me (are there any left?) roll our eyes!

excellent post
“”So far, it is ending well””
Something about that sentence isn’t right. It’s not ending, is it? Better to say “IT IS GOING WELL.”
Many, many happy years ahead of you...Pray the country gets straightened out so the possibility of many happy years will be a reality...
Yesterday, upon the stair,
I met a man who wasn’t there.
He wasn’t there again today,
I wish, I wish he’d go away...
Agree. Without a working knowledge of Seinfeld,
many posts here would be baffling. One must master the domain.
Dan Quayle overmarried, too, so it can work.
But women don’t usually like any of the Three Stooges.
Scruffy looking pair.
:-)
I think a lot of people wed someone they never met at a California Airport.
Me and the Mrs were together for 6 months and tied the knot. Almost 20 years later, here we are.
We’ve changed, but our commitment has not.
What could possibly go wrong?
USO arranged for home cooked meals for soldiers in the summer after Pearl Harbor. Dad said he fell in love right there in the living room and married Mom 6 months later. They are both gone now, but were married for 63 years.
I married a man I never met at a California airport, too. We met at a friend’s house, and after 30 years, we’ve never been in a California airport at the same time.
I knew someone who met her husband through an arranged marriage. She showed me her wedding pictures. She was in a designer gown but there were no pictures of her husband. He never made it to the wedding. He was in the US and she was in Iran.
She met her husband for the first time at Logan Airport. He took her home and there were interesting white flakes falling. She called her mother to tell her she saw snow for the first time. That night the snow got heavier. The next day the snow blocked the door and was up to the windows. It was the Blizzard of ‘78. They were snowed in for a week. Her husband kept telling her the snow wasn’t like this all the time. Who knows if they’re still together.
I read your entire post only to come up with no outcome data?
