Donald Trump Goes Nuclear: Let's Face It, Ted Cruz 'Is a Bit of a Maniac'
PJ Media ^ | 12-13-2015 | Michael van der Galien

Posted on 12/13/2015 7:33:18 AM PST by Michael van der Galien

In what's more evidence that Donald Trump is becoming completely unhinged, he is now stooping so low as to label Tea Party favorite Ted Cruz "a bit of a maniac":

"I don’t think he’s qualified to be president… I don’t think he has the right temperament. I don’t think he’s got the right judgment… You look at the way he’s dealt with the Senate, where he goes in there like a — you know, frankly like a little bit of a maniac. You’re never going to get things done that way."

He added:

"Look, I built a phenomenal business. I’m worth many, many billions of dollars. I have some of the greatest assets anywhere in the world. You can’t walk into the Senate, and scream, and call people liars, and not be able to cajole and get along with people. He’ll never get anything done. And that’s the problem with Ted."

It's rather fascinating that this is coming from the most bombastic and maniacal presidential candidate in history. Almost every single one of his proposals are downright outlandish, and he calls everyone who dares disagree with him "a loser" and worse. See how he smeared Dr. Ben Carson by calling him "pathological."

What's more, Trump's latest jabs at Cruz prove that he has no idea what real conservatives want. Cruz promised them to stand up for their values in Washington D.C., even if the establishment would hate him for it. That's exactly what he's done, and it's one of the main reasons that he's now so popular among Evangelicals, very conservative voters, and those who identify themselves with the Party.

If I was Cruz, I'd politely ask The Donald to attack me even more. After all, this will only end up helping, rather than hurting him.

Please don’t do this, Donald. Cruz and you are natural allies.

Yes, maybe I should but does that mean Cruz is the equivalent of Churchill?

Trump tweeted a question this morning - what has Cruz done about the the immigrants the feds placed in Texas? I personally have not heard anything about this from him.

I have a problem with his slight of hand votes regarding Obamatrade.

What Santorum said:

“You have a lot of people that come up here and talk about how tough they are, but they actually support amnesty. The speaker just before me running for president, he will tell you how tough he is,” Mr. Santorum said, alluding to Mr. Cruz. “He offered an amendment to allow people to stay in this country indefinitely. To me, that is amnesty.”

Rick Santorum accuses Ted Cruz of supporting amnesty for illegal immigrants

As I look back over the past 5 months of candidates, there are some things that are worth repeating....

When the GO PEE lined up Carly against Trump, everyone was talking about how she destroyed H.P. and Lucent, tried to sell the company to Korea (which at the time was illegal), even Barbara Boxer came out with how dirty Carly played against her while running for the California Senate bid....

Then the GO PEE lined up Bush to take down Trump...that didn’t go as planned, he fell flat on his face and is still there...

Then the last one was Carson, and oh how the people were looking at Carson, even I said there was something wrong with him mentally, and sure enough, after Trump said what he did, people started looking and finding things, so Carson went by the way side, and is still falling...

Kasich and others took out all these ads, and made them look like the fools they are, and most of the people agreed, even me...I seen them and laughed...GO PEE didn’t win on that one either...

So then the GO PEE started with Rubio, and he was battling Cruz with a lot of stuff, some true, most not...that didn’t work...and all the while, the Cruz fans were eating this up, working right along to get rid of these people, so Cruz could eventually get up to where he could take out Trump...even the other night, Cruz was caught on tape saying how he ‘bear hugged and love’ Carson and Trump to take their voters....ok well he said it and we have heard it...

So now the GO PEE’s last resort is to get Cruz and Trump to fight each other, the GO PEE’s biggest dream...so here comes Des Moines Register with this poll yesterday, we’ve been there already with Carson/Trump so ok, nice try, didn’t work...

So what I am saying, Trump has lead all the polls since he entered with a 20-35% average, Cruz has been down under that, so what we are seeing now is anything that can be thrown at Trump will be, and I for one, did help in showing some people on here some things I found about the candidates that didn’t look good...I posted some of Boxer’s things on here, to show how dirty Carly played; I showed a lot of Rubio’s past problems with his credit card mess; I showed a lot of Carson’s remarks that came right from the books he had written, and Cruz supporters went along with that, but what a lot of them didn’t know is I knew why they were doing it: To Get Cruz To The Point Of Trying To Take Trump Out...I knew this...and fed them some of what they were doing...

What I will not do is aid them in taking Trump out...because there is only one way to take Trump out and that is he has to do it himself....Rush Limbaugh: “Nobody can take Trump out, nobody made Trump except Trump and he is the only one that can take Trump out”....

Trump didn’t say to much after he heard the Cruz tape of ‘bear hugs and love’....he didn’t say anything about the candidates yesterday in his speech, but he is going to start to say about Cruz...Cruz hit him, and Trump will hit back...he’s a Viper and his bite will hurt, look at the other candidates and where they are...so I hope Cruz can muster what the media has in store for him, Trump is tough, Cruz not so much...so this should be interesting for me as a Trump supporter to watch how Trump plays this thru...

Trump’s running to the middle now?

First he supports big ethanol [all part of a big scam and tyranny]. And then he says some disturbing things about Scalia:

Cruz is maniacal, Carson is pathological, Fiorina is ugly, but Donald inherited millions and now has billions, therefore he should be President.

He wants my vote, but first, he’ll have to win my respect. And that’s going to to be a hard road for a man who said he’s never apologized to God Himself.

No cage matches, please. Everyone here should keep their powder dry and not take potshots either way.

Let the partisans of candidates or the GOPe trolls drop their vitriol, but don’t call anyone names.

The Republican Establishment ultimately wants a Trump-Cruz Cage Match so they can slip Marco or someone else through.

The attack from Trump should be responded to in a positive way by Ted emphasizing that the Republican Establishment may think he’s ‘a maniac’ but that’s because he threatens the status quo in Washington.

Wow, who would have seen this coming?

Oh that’s right, real conservatives that figured out the Trump charade is the Greatest Troll Job Ever!

Notice the posts defending Trump calling Cruz “maniacal” because Cruz said voters would have to make a determination about whether or not Trump (or other candidates) had the judgement to serve as POTUS.

Pretty obvious Trump lacks judgement based on this attack. And pretty obvious a large number of his supporters are no longer pretending to hide the fact they aren’t conservative at all.

Ted Cruz is a senator. The gang of 8 bill passed in the Senate so Ted Cruz did not stop the gang of 8 bill. The gang of 8 bill died in the House, it died when million of Americans melted the phones in DC. Just like millions of American did to stop the Bush amnesty. Cruz trying to claim he stopped the gang of 8 bill, is one of reasons I question his character. Also Sessions not Cruz lead the fight in the Senate. Cruz was open to supporting gang of 8 bill until the gang rejected his amendment.

Rush Limbaugh is a establishment blow hard. Very over rated by conservatives. I will say Rush was good back in his early years, but ever since he stayed the night at HW White House he hasn't been the same.

Brilliant. Trump just keeps getting better and better. I love Ted Cruz and he will make a damn fine Vice President and then an even better President.

Look these two have huddled together and planned something. They both know the game and what it calls for. Actually, I’m not far off in saying, “Keep it moving; nothing to see here.”

Cruz has no plan to deport. He’s going to let them all stay and legalize them.

Absolute total horse hockey!

And both of you should know better, GG.

It is truly a cult of personality suited for the ignorant. Trump has taken a position on Cruz that is far harsher than even John McCain. Trump has planted his flag firmly in the soil of what so many here call RINO territory. Trump has labelled Cruz a maniac for the tactics he used in the Senate. Trump stands shoulder to shoulder with the McConnell/Boehner axis. M/C axis’ only beef with Cruz was what Trump know calls “acting like a maniac.” One can only conclude that Trump is a firm believer in “for whatever reason, don’t shut down the government.” This is the numero uno in positions that places one in the RINO camp. I would not be going on the limb that Trump’s “Cruz acts like a maniac in the Senate” is one of the first times his true feelings has surfaced. One cannot go months without it happening, no matter how hard he tried. It will be interesting to see how the Trumpanzees, including his talk radio backers, will spin this one. On defining issue that delineates the borderline of RINO territory, Trump has firmly placed himself
shoulder to shoulder with Lindsey Graham.

Trump lied about that too. That was around the time I changed my mind about Trump. What respect for life?
He has overall given tons of fodder for campaign ads against him.

Sometimes its hard to face facts. Go to www.tedcruz.org and you will see that Cruz has no plan for deportation of the illegals. He just wants to dance around the subject by saying over and over again on TV that first we have to secure the border and then we will talk about what to do with the illegals who are here. That is simply disingenuous and I’m not buying it.

Trump seems to have no problem talking about what to do with the illegals. I certainly don’t.

I hear you, Laz. Trump was on the brink of being the greatest president since Reagan. I was getting revved all last week. His muslim plan was brilliant; even Shlafly supported it.

And now ... he’s leaving himself wide open:

1. He stands for Big Ethanol.

2. He said disturbing things about Justice Scalia:

Trump hits Scalia over comments on black students

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3372041/posts

“Scalia was essentially paraphrasing Thomas Sowell’s well-researched and apt argument.” — 9YearLurker

If Cruz can defend Scalia in a timely manner, a HUGE feather in his cap.
