Did Ted Cruz criticize Donald Trump at a closed meeting yesterday? (Bloomberg asking that)
Self, asking question about a report I watched on Bloomberg ^ | December 10, 2015 | (self)

OK there is a pretty good show on Bloomberg right now, it has a couple of guys each day, who are pretty reasonable about the campaign.

Today they reported that yesterday I think it was, Ted Cruz said in a closed meeting, some things critical of Donald Trump.

I haven't heard a peep from Donald about this, and I don't know whether he will say a word about it. But it seems that Ted Cruz is starting to stray hazardously close to becoming a target himself.

I'm not sure it would be a good thing for either of them, if they start talking smack about each other.

But I watched the report.

Cruz needs to watch himself.

All of that is in reference to rhetorical attention, of course.

:D

Jamie Dupree said Cruz, when asked about it twice, finally came out with a non-denial denial. Which means he did.

Cruz and Trump have similar positions and have not attacked one another. I doubt this is true. And even if it is, so what.

It is just that Trump has not been critical of Cruz.

Cruz should keep that in mind, in return.

First of all, if Cruz differs with Trump on an issue position we should not FALSELY referring to that as an attack.

I highly doubt that Cruz has ever or will ever attack Trump, if we are being honest that is.

Ted Cruz Questions Donald Trump's 'Judgment' to Be President (Uh oh)
NY Times ^ | Maggie Haberman and Matt Flegenheimer

Posted on Thursday, December 10, 2015 9:49:24 AM by RoosterRedux

Bottom line - this is a non-story. Cruz is simply stating he has better judgment as he is the better candidate.

What else do you expect him to say?

When asked about it at the Heritage Foundation today, Cruz said he brought up “judgment” as something that all candidates would be weighed on.

They are working together, IMHO. They will not turn on one another.

Well I sure hope you are right.

They are nearly on the same page, but they will devastate each other, if they lock horns.

Big time.

These are two plain-speaking men, passionate and articulate about their ideas and principles. They are not always going to agree and we should (fortunately) not expect them to.

However, they must be careful as to how they deal with their conflicts with each other ... there are brutal enemies who will use this to their advantage ... and not just the many brutal enemies within the Republican Party (though they appear to be the most savage!)

The question came at end of Cru’z Heritage speech Q&A. It referenced 1 or 2 anonymous attendees to a “private fundraiser”. He said he does not comment on private meetings. I copied this sentence from the Hotair article.
Cruz was asked about this earlier today after a speech and said, without naming names, “ultimately the decision is, who has the right judgment — experience and judgment — to serve as commander in chief? — and that all candidates were trying to accomplish this.
I know I do not fear the war. As one of those gope conservatives said = Cruz is the guy swimming the moat with a knife in his teeth and he knows how to fight.

“It is just that Trump has not been critical of Cruz.

Cruz should keep that in mind, in return.”

If Senator Cruz is asked to compare himself to another candidate on something which they disagree it could be called “critical”

If Cruz says the he believes that he has better judgment I would not call that critical.

The media is trying to play the other candidates against Trump. Senator Cruz has not gone along.

Much ado about nothing.

I don’t know on ever, but I did see a Cruz campaign person on Hardball and Cbrissy tried to get him to comment negatively onTrump over and over and Cruz’s rep wouldn’t do it. I was surprised.

Well I am all for the two of them not attacking each other.

The report I saw was on Bloomberg. Bloomberg himself, is a political opponent of Trump. Just saying. I’m not certain if that contributes to the coverage, on his network.

The report seems credible however. The thing is, apparently it was reported earlier, in the New York Times, also a political opponent.

So I hope they don’t go after each other, and yes I think this is being reported by partisans, for political reasons.

But that said, Cruz really should tone it down.

Keep powder dry. Keep cool. Watch time timing and play the poker face. Open bomb bay doors, expend all ordinance and mercilessly obliterate the target (symbolically speaking) the third week of January, maybe 25 January or so. Mr Megalomania in turn should likely wet HIS pants and lose his cool. Just waiting for it. It’s brilliant. It’ll be fun to watch.
