I am glad that Trump has not attacked Carson on a personal level. That would just be counter productive.
However, there is an avenue of attack that needs to be pursued. Carson has a very weak position on illegal immigration, suggesting that we adopt Canada's Guest Worker program.
Nowhere have I found any statement from Ben Carson indicating his willingness to enforce our immigration laws, which he calls immoral.
Are we really going to continue to support someone who does not realize how vital it is to our survival to regain and protect our sovereignty? Are we going to elect someone who allows illegal invasion to drain our resources and compromise our safety?
I hope that Trump or Cruz will challenge Ben Carson on this issue in the upcoming debate. I think many people supporting Carson do not know how dangerous his position is to our country.
>>I dont see anything in Carsons skillset that speaks Leadership to me,
Neither do I. That’s why I’m not supporting him for President.
Most of the illegal aliens I’ve known were illegal because they violated the terms of their visa. They don’t have criminal records back home, and perhaps come from a middle class background and are deemed to have familial or economic interests back home and are therefore eligible for a tourist visa (varies widely by country.)
They return to their home countries every 6 months or so to renew. They work here illegally either under the table or with a fake ID.
The few I had met who actually walked across a border did so because they were not wealthy enough (had no economic interest back home) to qualify for a ‘laser’
visa.
My experience is of course just a small anecdotal sample. I’d prefer some real numbers and a few details from any politican proposing a plan.
Cruz is my preferred also. I am hoping for a great politician with clarity on this issue and not merely ‘better than’ another candidate. I am also leery of ‘outs.’
One statistic that has stuck with me is that 85% of illegals in California are on public assistance. Under Trump’s plan, that would eliminate a large chunk of California’s illegal population to deportation.
Actually I like guest worker programs. I saw first hand how well that is working in Singapore, where 40% of jobs are held by foreign workers. (There is no measurable unemployment for Singapore citizens, it is close to zero).
However Trump is exactly correct in deporting ALL illegals first. Allowing them to stay is ignoring immigration laws. We must follow law, otherwise it is a slippery slope. There can not be amnesty for breaking laws.
Astute observation GG2. Carson is draining all those amnesty voters from Bush, Rubio, Fiorina and even Cruz. Speaking of Ted Cruz, he talks a good game but go to his website: http://www.tedcruz.org and youll find theres no mention of deporting illegals.
We know from Cruzs past statements that he wants to double legal immigration with big increases for Mexico, China and India (all will vote overwhelmingly socialist when they become citizens) and increase H-1Bs by 500%. Whats the point in electing a so-called constitutional conservative whose immigration plans will destroy the country?

My objection is that his position is more than the guest worker program. He advocates rewarding illegals with citizenship and that is totally unacceptable.
Can you give a reference for Cruz wanting to double legal immigration? The only thing I have read and heard him say is that we must reduce current levels of immigration because our infrastructure and services cannot sustain it.
He made it a point several times to want a 500% increase in H1B Visas.
That is from one of his speeches earlier. I tried googling exact speech but did not find it.
That is not the same as wanting to increase legal immigration by 50%. I don’t agree with his position on H1-B Visas, but I also have noted that he wants to Decrease current levels of legal immigration that he says are unsustainable for infrastructure and services.
