Club for Growth: Trump 'Worst Republican, Simply Awful' (Club for Growth, is Simply Awful)

Them be war words.

Club for Growth President David McIntosh released an email letter this weekend saying the group was not going to "back down" in their fight against Donald Trump.

McIntosh claimed Trump is "posing" as an anti-establishment conservative, but in reality he’s a liberal.

The letter accuses the billionaire of supporting single-payer socialized medicine "to the left" of Obamacare; advocating the largest tax increase in history; opposing a flat tax; use of eminent domain laws to seize private property; and protective tariffs that will lead to "massive trade wars."

They had a huge club out there didn’t they. Everyone who wanted a place at the table, just joined that elite club. Along came Trump and they came out of the woodwork... for all of us to see... trying to save that place at the elite table.

Gads, I didn’t know how far and wide that club was... they ALL are in it.

They must be trembling in their boots... and it’s fun to watch.

How else could we stop the control they have over the territory... I can’t think of anything or anyone else.. but Donald Trump. And before he came on the scene, there was NO ONE who could do what he has done.

If I confess I didn't read the article, I will get jumped on.

If I confess I can't master every single issue, I hope I won't get trounced too badly, but I guess I will deserve it for my knee-jerk reaction.

I finished with reading about refugees getting stopped at Germany's border in the WAPO and read a whole slew of comments. For good measure, I watched a youtube video of a whole lot of mostly male invaders on a train in France acting like the psychopaths some of them are.

I can hardly stand to listen to that stuff.

ISIS Recruits Shout 'Allah Akbar' In Refugee Trains Going To Germany

I'm weary and time to call it a day.

So if you were making the decision, do you let them die or order the operation?

Back before we lost touch with what is and is not a Constitutional function of government, we had many charity hospitals, funded by private donations, which did just this sort of thing. I would advocate returning to that system.

[Isn’t it funny how those that get a fat check for stirring the “political” pot and don’t produce a thing get paid more then most that actually produce SOMETHING!...(from their labor)]

Well done, M. Great observation.

What do you do when a 25 year old homeless bum comes in the emergency room with appendicitis? Do you let him die, or do you operate? Do you let him die, or do you operate? If you operate, the hospital takes a loss which means they end-up billing people that can pay more. Or the government pays

You are making the argument for the hated health insurance mandate, the alternative to which is, you let the guy die if he doesn't have insurance and can't pay.

If you don't have the mandate, then you have the free-rider problem: homeless bums going without until they get sick.

Just an FYI, when my wife had appendicitis a couple of years ago, the total bill was over $24k.

Go check her benefits statement. How much did the hospital and the doctors bill? How much did her insurance company pay? How much did she pay?

Fact is, thanks to years of government involvement, pricing in the medical field is totally out of whack. The providers know that, and set absurd prices (see Chargemaster), which serve as a starting point from which to negotiate down to what the insurance company pays and what the patient pays.

And God help you if you don't have insurance! That's where Chapter 11 comes in, LOL!

Wow. I heard him speak to Monica of the Wall Street Journal. His answers were right down the middle conservative. I think they’ve miss characterized the man.

Trump hates them because they’re pro-growth and small government. He’s for biggov. It’s always benefited him.

That’s your best answer, Ron Johnson? The Club for Growth is a free market outfit. What’s wrong with the free market?

Ronald Reagan used to be a democrat
Hillary Clinton used to be a republican

Trump could be lying about his positions. It is a risk with all candidates.

They are right down the middle of the road conservative NOW (sometimes). He vacillates. Trump is about Trump, not any specific principle except more Trump.

If Club for Growth is pro-amnesty, they need to answer the question, how does creating an oversupply of unskilled labor promote economic growth?

Trump is conservative on the one thing that matters: immigration.
Club for Growth is liberal on the one thing that matters: immigration.

The one million plus mostly Third-World immigrants that arrive each year are not clutching copes of ‘Free to Choose.’ They do not arrive desperate to read 28-page Club for Growth policy papers on the flat tax or corporate regulation.

If Trump does not kill them their own misguided policies will (of course same goes for the Republican party itself).
