And yes, it's dead. Anyone thinking the Republic will rise again, especially based on elections, is either delusional or just plain have not been paying attention.
I'm not exactly sure what it is we hope for concerning America. Even if it falls, doesn't mean the end of time. God doesn't need this puny country in order to accomplish His will. We were here, He used us for awhile, we abandoned Him. He can raise up another tool. China. Cuba. His will is not obstructed by our shortsightedness.
It reminds me of what Mordecai told Esther: (paraphrase) "You don't want to serve God? Ok. God will find someone to do the job, but you'll be in hot water."
1 Peter 1:24-25: "For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you."
But I don't think He's done with us yet. I don't think America is dead. I just think the Faithful have been napping. I think God is going to awaken us.

I think its' soul departed in 2004 when President Reagan left us and the downward cycle increased its' speed ever since.

Not dead? Pining for the fjords, perhaps? Sorry, the Republic is deader than a door nail — or a parrot belly up on the bottom of the cage. Anything else is just wishful thinking.
Look at the number of people announced as “not in the labor force” today. Well over 90 million. This is in a nation with a total population of 340 million. This is Mitt Romney’s 47 percent, plus more now, when you look at family numbers.
Are these people going to vote themselves into either starvation or a hard, low-wage job? Let’s not kid ourselves. That’s not going to happen. They are going to vote for more of the same, and the Republicans will give them more of the same, too.
Patriots should consider July 4th a day of mourning. Fly the flag, but drape it with black ribbons, if you want to remember the Republic.
I find myself in the mood to fight against what this country actually is, rather than fight for it.
I’d fight for what it used to be, or could be again.
But right now, this place sucks.

His promises are sure. Don't let the clamor of a lost and panicked people distract you. He just doesn't work according to our schedule. That's all.
It’s OVER! The United States will be gone in less than three years. It will break up like the old Soviet Union. This will be among the LAST Independence Days we celebrate as a united country.
Here is what I expect:
Several of the “blue” states will likely become Canadian provinces. California will probably re-join with Mexico. But Texas will almost certainly partner with other states to form a new CHRISTIAN republic.
What happens to the rest of the former USA is anybody’s guess. We’ll be very lucky if Russia doesn’t try to re-take Alaska and colonize the Washington State and Oregon.
Hawaii might well try to re-assert independence, but would almost certainly fall under the suzerainty of China if it did.
My wife stays out of the news, but it invades our home every once in a while.
Last night we were talking about the recent SC decisions and the implications for America and society, and she made the observation -
