TV Land is getting SLAMMED for pulling the Dukes!
It is amazing to see good people mobilize and give TV Land the criticism deserves.
They will lose money over this.. and it's well deserved.
When you go against your customers, like Mcdonalds did, prepare to lose millions and millions of dollars.
Couldn't have happened to a more deserving network.
If a conservative startup would create a satellite or even internet TV service that carried conservative or right leaning TV channels at a low cost, they could make millions.
I would drop my time warner cable in a heartbeat (wife won’t let me do it now but if we had a good alternative...)
“Uh oh, them Dyke Girls are in trouble again...”
Me too. I cut my $110 per month cable, then bought a good over-the-air antenna for $60. So now I get free HD local TV. And every month I pick up a few DVD's of shows I like. Can't beat it.
I’m watching Combat on another oldies channel. That show was incredible.
Good. I never watched the show as a kid, but even I realize it was harmless, goofy fun that has absolutely nothing to do with slavery, racism, or the racist piece of garbage who gunned down 9 people in a black church 30+ years after the show was cancelled.
The stupid is strong with TV Land today.
They cut the actual program. I notice this on Gilligans Island shows. They chop off the ending or anything in between and replace it with commercials.
The execs don’t care. They will be slaves (yes, slaves) to the flag of PC.
I could be wrong, but chances are they will not bring back dukes of hazzard no matter the backlash. They’d choose to lose viewers and revenue rather than upset the politically correct crowd.
Next on TVLand: ‘An original series about a Transgendered girl scout who lives with his two moms, his lesbian sister his older ‘baby’ brother who lives next door to a pedophile who married his 13 year old lover. It’s ‘Normal in LiberalVille’
They mostly do bud. And always pay cash. Mullvad (cough)
