Tom Brady will be the highest profile player ever suspended in the 96-year history of the NFL.
Roger Goodell's decision is expected to be announced next week and it is no longer a matter of if the NFL commissioner will suspend Brady, but for how long he will suspend him.
In conversations I've had with several key sources who always have a good sense of what goes on at 345 Park Avenue, there is little doubt Goodell considers Brady's role in DeflateGate a serious violation.
The NFL is convinced, according to sources, that connecting all the dots of the evidence supplied by Wells leads to one conclusion:
Brady cheated.

This isn’t college, and the NFL isn’t bound by anything as silly or arbitrary as the NCAA.

What are these foreign words you speak of?
Seriously, though, you’re right. It’s been a miracle up until now. Don’t want to push God’s patience.

Does this mean that the Seahawks will be named Super Bowl winners?
How could they not?

Well, maybe the Colts didn’t deflate to the low end of the threshold.
And maybe, since the Pats HAD THE BALL THE WHOLE TIME, the act of tossing it around for all those points they scored caused some air to escape.
And since the Colts couldn’t get their defense off the field, that means they couldn’t get their BALLS on the field, thus they didn’t get tossed around and lose any air.
Can you rule that out!? Can you!? I think not!

Yeah, when the Colts were on off., Brady sneakily switched balls. The Colts were helpless with a normally inflated ball. Uh...wait....the Colts played with the same ball in the first half? ....really?.....Well, it was a close game right?....The Colts got killed even though the balls were inflated to normal weight at halftime? Never mind. And now the Colts have established that they are a bunch of cry babies who can't accept that they got beat by the better team.
Brady is one of the all time greats at QB and Belichek is one of the all time great coaches. This nonsense doesn't change these facts.

Hey, yeah, but both teams used the same ball. The Colts got crushed. The punishment should fit the crime. Fine the Pats, and get on with things.

the NFL isnt bound by anything as silly or arbitrary as the NCAA.Nope. They are bound by serious $$$$$. Notice how everyone was happy to side-line the whole matter until after they made their millions on the Superbowl.

It's cheating.
It's deliberate.
For the Patriots, it isn't the first time.

"That standard of more probable than not just blows my mind." That standard is essentially the same, "preponderance of evidence," (>50%) standard used in virtually every civil court in the nation.

Does this mean that the Seahawks will be named Super Bowl winners? The cheating is not alleged to have occurred against the 'Hawks.
However, rest assured that the Seattle Seahawks will retain the title of Whiniest Superbowl Losers Ever which they've held since 2005.

But, it is what it is... whats the over-under on how many games? My bet is two. Two games is a slap on the wrist. I'd four games is the over/under number.
