I have always wondered what makes a woman feel beautiful and comfortable stepping out of their homes only after wearing their makeup, most of them despite having flawless and beautiful skin and features. As silly as it sounds, I have always been intrigued by this. Guys, you can have all the fun you want with your comments but Im really looking to see the girls perspective on this.
Tightens up the calf muscles.
I refer to it as “war paint”.
To me, makeup is pointless if you have to notice it. Subtle eye shadow, a natural-looking lipstick, a little blush. That’s all most should need.
You said it , girl! Where are all the "I'd hit guys" on this post!
A blind buddy of mine asked me to describe her.
I placed his hands on a textured stucco wall.
Mascara and lots of photoshopping.
Look at the animal kingdom. Most females have dull colors to help them hide from predators as they are essential to that species survival. Usually, one male can procreate with a whole bunch of females and keep the it rolling whereas each female is tasked with the gestation or hatching of the young ones. Males however are adorned with vibrant colors or adorned with antlers or manes. Humans really are no different as in men with beards and visible strength. Now no human woman wants to look like a drab hen mallard duck so makeup was invented to give the female species flash, color that they normally wouldn’t show and jewelry is worn to replicate antlers or other head gear male species have. I appreciate the fact that most women aren’t to hip on the idea of facial hair.
'Cause powder and paint make a woman what she ain't.
I don't shave nor comb my hair. My hair is too short to comb, but it does take a good 8-10 to was my mustache just right. (and if I don't I will be straining everything I drink) Women love my handlebar mustache and frequently let me know. Trim and weed the beard weekly.
I don’t unless it is a special event of special occassion, my one sister wore makeup every day, now if you ever saw her without makeup you could see the effects of wearing makeup everyday, her skin looks downright horrible and damaged without makeup.
She was an example to me NOT to wear makeup.
Soemtimes I think Makeup is worn not to attrack men so much as it is some sorta competitton with other women. But I am a country bumpkin girl who just doesn’t get some of the city girl stuff. Not that I am Naive, it’s just i know better.
Well, everybody, both men and women, want to look their best, don’t they???
As a man, I can’t speak to women and their make up. But, just for myself, can say that I bathe and shave and get haircuts and try to wear clean clothes. And I do all of these when it’s time for “date night” with my leading lady.
Many this isn’t exactly analogous, but, just saying, men can care about their appearance too, and will do things to help them look their best.
No one ever heard the joke...
Why do women wear make up and perfume???
I didn’t wear makeup until in my 30s...as we age our lips lose their color, our eyes need accenting etc....that said...it only takes a couple minutes to put makeup on now...and makes me look more awake and alive!
LOL. Good one.
LOL! Sorry, but I just felt the need to resurrect that face!
Kinda just jumps right out at ya....
You forgot, “Listen.”
That's what you call it, huh.
I have repeatedly noticed an odd phenomenon in drug stores: a small group of women in Islamic garb buying eye makeup.
Dogs and some other animals roll on dead stuff or manure to obscure their scent. Perfume/aftershave an extension of this trait?
