The NFL Draft is tonight from Chicago. I will miss the J-E-T-S fans booing the draft pick. To get it started according Bucs drafting Jameis Winston at #1 is a done deal:

Mariota seems to have what it takes. The problem for him is he’s the subject of a bidding war, the team that gets him looks like they’ll give up at least 5 picks to get him, and no players is worth 5 draft picks. That’s 4 picks that could have given him an offensive line, a good receiver, improved defense. Smart teams trade down in the draft and stock up picks (this is the first time in years the Pats come in with less than 10 picks... they have 9), dumb teams trade up in the draft and give away picks. Mariota is going to be drafted by a dumb team.
The Browns somehow have stacked up 10 picks (not sure where 2 of them came from), if they’re smart and USE them they could do good things. Of course it’s reported they offered both first rounders to get to #2, which means they aren’t being smart.
Yeah, that never gets old. Although I'm sure they could do one about the Cleveland Browns now that would be almost as entertaining.
We’ll see what happens with the 18th pick. The law of averages say that the Chiefs have to hit the jackpot sometime. What scares me is that some of the mock drafts have them selecting Dorial Green-Beckham. I know the Chiefs need a wideout but not someone who got kicked off the Mizzou team because of his criminal...hobbies. I’d rather they went with Tyler Lockett from K-State.
I think owner Jimmy Haslam had a lot to do with drafting Johnny Football last year, more than he or anyone else are willing to admit.
I agree with you about stocking up picks. To think the Browns gave up a third round pick last year to go up a few slots in the first round and get Manziel makes me sick. Really dumb.
I am just not sold on Winston, but I’ve been wrong before. I like what Lovie Smith does as a coach. I wonder what input he had on this choice?
This is my first time watching The Draft. So excited. Our team is the Eagles.
I will tune in tomorrow morning to watch the Pats draft choice.
Here’s hoping Marcus goes to Phili.
Go Ducks
I like to give a big Chi-town salute (that’s 2 middle fingers raised, hands rotated forward in a circular motion) to Jameis, Marcus, Amari, and every draftee dissing us by not attending, as they would have if it was held in precious NYC.
Attendance for these instant millionaires should be mandatory, baring a family emergency.
Cut Impy some slack, Bendy. His Bears will come out of their hibernation... just as soon as the Cubs win a World Series--
Or the Browns win a Superbowl... with Johnny Football.
Damn, Bend-- Why'd ya... have to drag me into this?
Well, since I sprang for this full orange paint job... I expect some rights!
I'm just please as punch that they kept Jerry sedated... until my Boys got Byron Jones!!!
Now, how can they get Tevin Coleman at 60... before Jerry goes on a trading fit?
And the painkillers ain't helping.
But my ire is directed at these players skipping the draft, for skipping the draft.
I mean, they'll go to NYC...
Are they saying NY is better or somethin?
"Well, we are better, Impy darling."
Well, F you, Judy! /a
Well, Imp, Dick Butkus liked Da Bears 2nd round pick: Eddie Goldman, DT, Florida State: 6-foot-3 7/8, 336 pounds, 5.27 40
Sounds like he’s a nose tackle for the new 3-4 D. Yes, Da Bears will become the last team to finally try the 3-4.
A replacement for Brandon Marshall was a secondary need compared to the putrid defense, but Kevin White (WR West Virginia) was the value pick in the first round. They probably would have taken Leonard Williams (DE USC) but the Jets nabbed him one spot sooner.
I think ole Condi Rice do better for Brown than any QB LOL!
Well, Imp, Old Jerry... pulled the trigger--
Guess we'll see how... Randy 'Smoke Gets In My Eyes' Gregory goes--
wow! Illustrated sports books!
Hell if I know, but when you find out... pass me another Duff--
RE: No-shows at the NFL Draft: Whores.
On the bright side, Chi-town’s got this locked down for the next 3 years:
