Full title: What would Jesus drink? Experts guess what wine was like in ancient times and what modern ones are similar
Christ was a vintner.
And if you heed the Scriptures, quite a good one, according to the maitre d' at the wedding in Cana. "... the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him, 'Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.'" (John 2:9-10).
In ancient times, wine was precious and revered, mentioned more than 140 times in the Bible. As Easter and Passover draw near, thoughts turn to the vine and curious minds reel.

Like sinning without being unrighteous.

You beg the question. And are unaware of the power of God which makes that an inapt comparison.

I don’t know what He drank, but for the last few years I’ve favored watered down wine. Anywhere from 50 to 75% water, depending on the wine. It keeps the clean high notes intact and slakes my thirst far better than plain water.

What exactly are you saying about my awareness of God, and is your comment an adequate reflection of your ability to discern?

The use of alcohol in a social context was a favorite weapon of the KGB used against political targets.

I’ve been meaning to try that, I have learned that some things from the past make sense if tried out.
What kind of wine do you water down?

I used to drink alcohol more frequently. But since I started taking Yuri Bezmenov’s advice, I’ve been much more careful.
As a defector to the United States, Bezmenov pointed out how alcohol was a very effective weapon used by the KGB to fool and otherwise take advantage of their political enemies.

And it was strong. That’s where the tradition of cutting the wine with water came from.
Strange, huh?

I’m guessing the wine at Cana was a 100 on the Robert Parker scale.

Obviously! - Grape juice would become bad wine in 2 weeks anyway.
