Mike Oldfield (Live) Incantations
Someone found a reel to reel tape under his bed that contained the masterpiece "Tubular Bells" Which mike had recorded himself performing some 36 instruments himself and dubbing the whole thing together
The rest is history
Just seeing those Neuman U87 mics gives me goose bumps ($4000.oo each, not counting the pre-amp or the CORD!) LOL!
Lovely butterfly, LTOS. Thank you for sharing it on Sunday at Amy’s Place.
Happy Sunday, Luv. Your Sunday music selection is wonderful.
Thank you.
MyLife .. thank you for sharing the lovely music with us today.
Hope your Sunday was Blessed.
You’re very welcome. Hope you had a good weekend!
Did it finally rain?
Fresno got a good rain a couple of days ago; we are south of Fresno and all we got was a few sprinkles.
There is a watering rule here ... if it rains you cannot do outdoor watering for 48 hours. That can be tough. If your watering days are Wednesday and Sunday and it rains on Saturday you cannot water again until Wednesday.
So far, they have not issued rules for us with our own wells but we are expecting them to start metering the amount of water we pump out of the ground. I think the farmers will be exempt from this for now.
Wish California would build dams and reservoirs instead of that damn train that is costing us billions so Diane Feinstein’s husband can get richer.
We need some honest politicians. Ooops ... I’m preaching again. :)
Preach on,Sistah!
Our strict water rules mighty be lifted lifted soon after a 4-year drought. The first year, we could only water once a week...by HAND...after 6pm and before midnight. My hubby would take the back yard and I would take the front and we’d use hand-held sprayers and go over every square inch. It was very depressing.
Now we have the same as you...2 days a week all day unlimited but our lakes have filled because we’ve gotten some rain [praise the LORD!] and hopefully we’ll be back to normal soon. The councils are meeting for discussion.
I pray that your drought doesn’t last this long...and that stupid fish habiat becomes so over-populated that they have to kill some of them! LOL!
You are most welcome.
Some years ago a friend and I set out to climb Mount Whitney. At 14,505 feet, it is the tallest mountain in the contiguous United States. We arrived at Whitney Portal late one evening, rolled out our sleeping bags at base camp, and tried to get some sleep before we began our ascent at first light. Whitney is not a technical climb but rather a long, exhausting walk11 miles of relentless ascent.
The climb, though hard-going, was exhilarating, with stunning vistas, beautiful blue lakes, and lush meadows along the way. But the trail grew long and exhausting, a test for legs and lungs. I thought of turning back as the day wore on and the trail seemed to stretch endlessly before us.
Occasionally, however, I caught a glimpse of the summit and realized that each step was bringing me one step closer. If I just kept walking, I would get there. That was the thought that kept me going.
Paul assures us, Our salvation is nearer than when we first believed (Rom. 13:11). Every day brings us one day closer to that great day when we shall summit and see our Saviors face. Thats the thought that can keep us going.
INSIGHT
: Paul often discusses the need to walk (live) properly. He writes to the church in Ephesus to remind them to walk in the light of good deeds because they have been saved by Gods grace (Eph. 2:1-10). To the church in Rome, he prescribes a different motivation for living according to the Lord Jesus Christbecause salvation is nearer (Rom. 13:11). Because the time of the Lords return is approaching, we are to leave behind the deeds of darkness.
Amen!
