White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest responded today to Ted Cruzs strong pledge in his presidential announcement this morning to repeal Obamacare once he gets into office.
In his list of things he asked the audience to imagine, Cruz said, Imagine a new president signing legislation repealing every word of Obamacare.
When asked about this today, Earnest said, There was a presidential candidate who ran in 2012 promising to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and that campaign pledge didnt work out very well for him.
Ummm...we took over both the house and senate in overwhelming numbers?
It was a monumental butt-thrashing, as I recall.
I guess Earnest is just going to keep harfing on the same subject.....
Yeah, cause that pledge was what cost him the election.
Right, yes. Only that.
Blithering buffoon.
“There was a presidential candidate who ran in 2012 promising to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and that campaign pledge didnt work out very well for him.?
You mean the guy who put Romneycare into production?

Everyone here was doubtful that if Romney won that he would actually go through it....
Yeah...that’s because that candidate was a lying sack of...
Along with a majority of the state legislatures.
The left will always let you know who they fear.
They didn’t fear McCain or Romney.
Huh?? There was never any opposition the Obama agenda. The Romney campaign wilted and died after the first debate. Even candy crowley was never called out on her shameless lies.
We the People are ready to make things happen.
not to mention that he sucked as a candidate, and was wrong on all the salient issues of the day just a few years before he changed his mind so he could run for president.
Didn’t seem to hurt in 2010 (we took back the house).
Didn’t seem to hurt in 2012 (we took more seats in house, got some fresh conservative blood in the Senate (Cruz and Lee) and we only lost POTUS because Romney was a wishy washy mess).
Didn’t seem to hurt in 2014 (we remained in control of the house and re-took the Senate)
This is what happened the last time the GOP ran against Obamacare.
But it’s a brand new day, Josh.
I remember well, Josh. Liberals were defeated in droves and left stacked beside the road like cordwood.
I wish Republicans remembered what happened the last time they ran against Obamacare.

In 2012 we didn’t know the full scope of how big a fraude FUBOCare would be. We knew it was a lie built on deceit, but now we know completely how big a pile of Obama ObamaCare really is.
... Wow, I love how considerate the White House is to advise Republicans how to run their campaigns. Perhaps they’ll extend the courtesy to Hillary to remind her what happened the last time a woman ran for president?
Romney did not attack Obamacare the way Cruz will be able to do. Romney had the anchor of Romneycare tied around his neck.
If Romney had come out strong against Obamacare, he would have won in a landslide.
