RANCHO MIRAGE, California – Vice President Joe Biden, 72, reportedly entered the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California on Feb. 26. According to a source close to the chemical dependency recovery facility, the Vice President was escorted into the Center late Thursday evening by several members of the Secret Service and Dr. Jill Biden, the Vice President’s wife.
Biden’s official White House schedule makes no mention of an official event in or near Southern California, leading many to wonder if the the Vice President’s visit is because of a substance abuse or alcohol problem.
Biden’s recent headlines concern what some describe as his “erratic” behavior – a charge dismissed by close friends and associates – brushed aside with the comment That’s just Joe being Joe! Others say the odd conduct can only be described as “chemically fueled.”

Hmm, I smell a rat.
Deeply cynical thinking would lead one to believe that This perhaps is a setup of sorts because there is no patient/doctor confidentiality when it comes to holding the office of President, and therefore Vice President.
If Joe Biden is incapable of performing the duties of the office of the President, then he is ineligible to be Vice President. If his staff or SS know this to be true, you would think they would come forth and leak like mad.
Might the little birdie that whispered in an ear have come from Obama side of the equation? Hillary wouldn’t bother since Biden has no chance at the nomination — but a retiring VP, and the selection of another VP?
Who gets to pick the next VP? Is it the House or the Senate or Obama with advice and consent of the Senate or whole Congress?
Are they clearing a path for another 2016 Candidate such as Liz Warren? or this O’Malley guy that seems to be coming up? Or are they trying to make it easier for Hillary in 2016 by perhaps picking her as VP?
This is just speculative conjecture. I assume all things happen naturally until proven suspicious, but I do like to let the dark dystopian mind of mine wonder on What-if’s.
As it stands ... 1 hour visit with his wife who happens to be a Doctor which WaPo happily inserted a hidden dramatic pause there, sure sounds like he’s visiting somebody in rehab rather than trying to sign up for rehab himself.

They line up drinks on their fence and every day, at 5PM, they charge happy hour prices @ $5 per shot but, only to a select few and I think the list is closed. /S
