Full Title: Strong cannabis causes one in four cases of psychosis: Users three times more likely to have an episode than those who have never tried it ªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªªª As many as a quarter of new cases of psychotic mental illness can be blamed on super-strength strains of cannabis, scientists will warn this week. The potent form of the drug known as skunk is so powerful that users are three times more likely to have a psychotic episode than those who have never tried it.

Was referring to the study, actually. lol
There was something in your brownie besides marijuana.
I always thought it weird that liberal psychology texts would object to legalizing marijuana, but all that I read have warned of this.
I thought the synthetic pot had been banned nation wide?
My first instinct was to make some wisecrack, but then common sense took over. I played it straight, so to speak, and simply said 'no'.
lol
So who cares if he has reefer madness. What's this pot head going to do become present of the United States and negotiate with Fidel Castro and Iran, have prayer meetings and pray to Allah in the White House. Then blame it all on the Crusades. You just can't make this stuff up.
All this brought to you by your Demovratic Party.
Sorry, I should have included the joke disclaimer.
;^)
Cannabis also contains cannabidiol, which doesn't get you high. As an extract, it has been shown to be an effective anti-psychotic, generally neuroprotective, an antioxidant, to possibly protect against stroke damage (before and after a stroke), and to have some value in treating social anxiety, depression and a particular type of epilepsy.
When present in pot at a high ratio, it protects against the memory loss caused by THC, and probably the psychosis too.
Pot strains with maximum THC and very low amounts of cannabidiol ARE more dangerous. But I doubt dope fiends looking for a strong high care to ask how much CBD is in their weed.
Whatever and the cause of hair on the back of a hand?
Anything can twerk a brain.
Why, I hear tell if’n yoos drinkz too much moonshine all kindz uh things uh happen tuh yoos...
Thanks for being honest Steve_Seattle. So many are under the delusion that pot is safe. My youngest asked for help last year getting off it as her addiction became uncontrollable and her quality of life was very low.
I am a recovering alcoholic and so brought her home for two weeks to help her through the roughest patch. Got her in outpatient program and went down to be with her four days a week for six weeks. It was so worth the effort! She is today a very productive, happy individual free from marijuana. I am very proud of her as well.
Wrong answer.
You should have replied by asking whether she audibly grunts while bearing down on a particularly stubborn stool. If she had gotten "huffy," you could then have explained to her that she shouldn't be offended, because it was a "routine question." (Heck, maybe for you it is a question you routinely ask of total strangers.)
My sexuality is no one's business, and I certainly would never state it for official purposes.

Drinking coffee, watching t.v., or sunbathing for more than 10 minutes can be very bad for some people - so let's criminalize it!
Yeah, that's the ticket!

Thr Libertarian vote?
Well since alcohol is the drug that does the most damage - by far - than all the other drugs combined, get back to us when you start your prohibition crusade. After all, you wouldn't want to be a hypocrite, right?
Big deal, at least you could see the kitchen.
Long ago, my buddy and I once drank a bit too much alcohol, he jumped off a second story balcony, landed in a small tree which snapped in two, dumping him on a sidewalk. I was told I tried to pee on him from up the balcony, until I was thrown out of the little "party" I wound up falling half way down a concrete stairway. We apparently found another party and my buddy the balcony jumper woke up with a new tattoo of a headless demon, from his wrist to his elbow. The demon was holding up two hands, one displaying a peace sign and the other the middle finger.
But hey, booze is legal and quite acceptable.
President Reagan did not start a crusade against alcohol -- a legal product. His war was on the menace of DRUGS. His inspiring words still are a call to arms to fight this scourge almost 30 years later. I admire both President Ronald Reagan and his lovely wife, Nancy and join them in the battle against dope, a substance favored by the Kenyan marxist now illegally occupying the White House.
