Am I the only person watching this "football game" (which is actually a good football game) annoyed by these annoying lectures, masquerading as commercials, about how powerful, capable, independent and valuable women are, so we barbaric men shouldn't devalue them, disrespect them (not actually a word) or hit them? Is this really what we need to be told while we're trying to just watch a ball game? I know the rest of the culture insists on this, but aren't men the primary clientele of the NFL? Why does the NFL have to subject us to this nonsense?
Is that tonight?
I’m watching Abe Lincoln slaying zombies on Sy Fy.
“I mute the ads...except for the Jeff Bridges one.”
You mean the one where he did not speak?
Exactly.
BINGO!
The tentacles of feminism may not all be terribly recognizable as such to many... but they are large in number. and huge is scope.
I liked that ad. As a woman, I could always do many physical things as well or better tan a lot of men. And I grew up when boys weren’t taught to be feminine.
the “throwing gap,” as it’s called, is one of the biggest differences between the genders

Who knew?
I’m a woman and I’m annoyed with them.
More likely they are cowed by women in to accepting the ads.
Run the commercials or face months of ridicule in the press as being anti-women.
Most accurate poltical cartoon ever.
It always annoyed me that doing anything “like a girl” is considered an insult.
***
Why? I am a girl, and it does not annoy me. It should be considered an insult and motivation for the male in question to try harder.
Looks like the same way I played soccer in high school. As long as I got the ball away from the opposing player first, it was legal. I need icepacks after some games, but so did the other teams’ players.

Well said.
However, I stand by what I said earlier. It is not proper to criticize a boy who is screwing up or performing poorly by likening him to a girl. Doing that diminishes girls in my opinion.
Now that's not saying girls are as athletic or as strong as boys. It's simply saying that girls are girls and boys are boys. If a boy is throwing a ball improperly, don't say he's "throwing like a girl." Just say he's throwing poorly and then coach him on how to throw a ball more properly
And the women selling themselves for those millions of dollars? What of them?

Hear! Hear!
Not just women. It seemed to be the year of the ‘message’.
No
But testosterone addled chicks crap is as old as black guy always gets blonde on Madison Ave
Or the dumb dad
Pity is some younger women really think they are better than men
...,.,and given that today most men are hipster pussies or dreadlocked baby daddies who can blame them
They may actually be....
