Similarly the team that cheats or breaks a rule is responsible, not the football or the refs. They should have been punished immediately with a penalty, yes, that is on the refs. But don't absolve an illegal play with a statement that it's the refs fault.

Belchek has a losing record with the Patriots when Tom Brady doesn’t play. He not only failed in Cleveland - he has the worst winning percentage of any Browns coach who lasted more than two years. He had five. Forrest Gregg has a lower winning percentage but we got tired of him after two years. Plus, he took over a Browns organization that had been in the playoffs and the AFC finals for a number of years leading to his hiring. He then put together the worst winning percentage of a Browns head coach over a five year period which resulted in the team moving to Baltimore and winning Super Bowls. Extremely few first year coaches make .500, especially when the previous coach is fired for the teams poor performance. That’s part of why they call them “rebuilding years”, and they are usually to year 3 before they get back to the level of going to the playoffs.

Using a running back as an ineligible offensive lineman is a horrible idea, his speed is virtually worthless for blocking, and a charging linebacker will knock him backwards.
