I've been watching this most of the day. Ted Cruz just finished a stem winder and Sarah Palin is coming within the hour. Kelly Anne Conway has proven she is one of the smartest women in politics. But, Mike Lee was superb and laid out one of the greatest tests for conservative candidates I've heard.

I think all these speeches should be on YouTube or C-Span website by tonight.

He needed to run in 2012. I’m with Cruz in 2016.

No. Too much unfinished business in WI. The lefties had everything tied up in courts, and he spent too much of the year on the recall. If he bailed out before the recall to run for prez it would not have worked. If Cruz can't pull it off, Walker is one of the few who can unite both wings of the party, which means the eventual divorce will be messier still, but that we could have a solid man on the ballot in 2016.

Well, remember, the recall was in June. He should’ve declared for President immediate after he beat that farce, because he was a rock star at that point, and Willard the Ringer should’ve been dumped at the convention. That would’ve given the country an actual set of choices for November.

No, no. AFTER the recall. I was promoting his candidacy at the time and to dump Willard, given that half the base voters opposed his candidacy. Walker could’ve charged into the GOP Convention with enough supporters to try to nullify that ludicrous farce of a primary. A righteous revolt by the base.

Agreed. From what I have seen I could support him. (He is a bit of a monotone type speaker-after seeing him on FOX.)

The recall was in JUNE, 2012. He could NOT have run in the primaries, and Romney had the delegates, so no brokered convention. And yes, there was still unfinished business in the courts (still is actually) on concealed carry and voter ID. Now, with THREE wins in four years under his belt, Walker is the most vetted candidate in the first tier. He also has shown that he can take hits from the most hostile media outside of San Francisco.

The whole point was to storm the convention and overthrow that ludicrous bought-and-paid-for Establishment Socialist farce Willard, delegates or no. The base had no reason to abide by a choice taken out of their hands, delegates or no. Willard should’ve been run out of that convention with pitchforks.

im-poss-ible. honestly, the utter detachment from reality of some folks is simply astonishing.

“candidate A didn’t accomplish this impossible to accomplish thing, therefore I’m supporting candidate B”. it’s just nonsensical.

He made some great points today.

Wisconsin is the only state with a fully funded retirement system.
As governor, he got pro-life legislation passed and defunded Planned Parenthood.
He believes in the integrity of elections, so voters are now required to have a photo ID.
Taxes in Wisconsin are lower today than four years ago.

Best line: “We need leaders who will stand with our allies against radical Islamic terrorists!”
