I got an e-mail that had one of those, "I'm just a regular guy but I've discovered the secret ... " type message ...
Not my bag.
If you’re willing to put up with a warmer kitchen, in order to have a cooler bedroom or cooler shop, great. I’m just noting that it will be hotter wherever you make the ice. The refrigerator will run longer and harder while it’s freezing the ice. Because it’s not 100 percent efficient, it will make more heat energy than you gain in cooling from the ice.
Yes but you still have to have a guy come out and fill your propane tank.
Line losses are from the resistance. It creates heat. What would be losses for a motor turning are contributions to heating in this case.
Light - In a heating element, this nearly all infrared, contributing to the heat. There is some minimal visible light, but not a reasonably measured amount in terms of energy loss.
Oxidation? Electrons forming chemical bonds come from the atoms being bonded, not outside sources like the power supply. Even this is extremely very small, to the point of not being measurable amounts of energy or the heating element would be gone nearly immediately.
If the field does not do work, it is not going to "consume" energy any differently than the electric field. As for 0.000001% inefficient, I'll save the arguments for the sake of arguing to others.
nor mine either

Oh well ... I’m too old to learn that new trick ...

Thanks FRiend. That is all true, of course.
I was just having fun. I seem to have stirred up the engineers!
Check Arctic Fox outdoor woodburners, also Fire Chief makes several sizes. We heat our 3500 square foot Victorian farmhouse with the 2200 series Fire Chief model, forced air instead of water boiler type. They should work for any type of house, people even heat their workshops with them.In 7 years of use I estimate we’ve saved 25K in heating bills with ours.
What ever you say. All I know is what I experienced. The next time I freeze some plastic soda bottles I’ll listen to see if the fridge is running extra hard or extra long. It seems to me that unlike the food box that gets opened a lot, the freezer drawer pretty much stays the same temp. But hey, you’re the scientist.
Sitting on my boat in Ventura now. It has been cold the last couple of nights and the heater has been on. During the day? Fabulous!!
Also on my bill are some very small charges for removal of dams in my state. Very confused, isn't hydro generated electricity green? Apparently not green enough for the environmentalists in my state.

“I can tell you one thing, the people that generate electricity are not worried about their jobs in the least.”
Not true. Hubby works in a power plant and 25% of the workforce will be laid off next week.
The carbon credits the plants have to pay are the culprit. Along with all the other EPA, OSHA, NERC, etc. regulations.
Energy costs will ‘necessarily’ skyrocket, but it’s due to government interference (fascism).
Hubby’s plant is gas, but workers in coal plants are especially vulnerable. Obama’s plan is to shut those down completely. I’d watch for brown outs and blackouts eventually, as plants go bankrupt and offline.
When the changing field penetrates the metal case of the heater then it will induce a current in it. Thus...Work.
“I cant agree....”
Maybe the laws of physics don’t apply in your home.
Close!
“If you put the refrigerator and redneck air conditioner in a perfectly insulated room, the room temperature would go up, not down.”
‘Cept most rednecks have their freezers outside, on the porch, next to the dog.
