I’ve always liked pictures of dogs bringing their leash to be taken out. Having always had very small dogs - they can’t manage to do that, lol.
Thanks Trisham!

Nice to see you here Stephen - and I say that with a ‘bit of shame’ because I’m absent so often myself!

Hi Jane, I noticed you and Meg talking about allergies and Cedar trees. I have a huge Cedar tree outside my house and when I go upstairs to the bedroom at night my nose starts to run and I get stuffed up. The tree is right outside my bedroom windows!

We just refinished some cabinets (from old golden oak) to Java. We used a gel stain that made the task incredibly easy and had a very low smell. It was actually fun to work with...we were a little nervous, but so happy with the results. The added bonus was NO FUMES!
At least your coats and boots will be lookin’ good in that newly painted closet of yours! Best of luck with the rest of the painting. Keep up the good work ;-)

Hi TCP, good to see you. I wondered where you were during my few ‘drop ins’ here. Busy painting I see. I used to do that but no longer up to it. Thanks for your ‘hello’!

Ugh....I’m miserable from that stinkin’ cedar pollen! We’ve cleared most of them from our property, but we still have a few....and, our neighbors have some that line up right across from our front door. We keep thinking they might want to clear theirs, too :-/
So good to see you...and your hilarious gif posts :-)

Wonder if your Cedar is like mine. This tree is very old and HUGE. My house may be close to 100yrs old and the Live Oak Trees are beautiful. Anyway, it’s obvious that Cedar trees cause allergies, lol.
Thanks about the gifs Jane.

The Word Among Us
The Word of God comes to us in many forms. Bible-centered preaching, Scripture reading, songs, study groups, and devotional articles bring to us the truths of God from Scripture. But we cant overlook personal reading and studying either.
My heart has recently been touched by a careful, paragraph-by-paragraph study of Deuteronomy alongside the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 57. Both passages contain codes of belief: The Ten Commandments (Deut. 5:6-21) and the Beatitudes (Matt. 5:3-12). Deuteronomy shows us the old covenantthe law God wanted His people to follow. In Matthew, Jesus shows us how He has come to fulfill that law and establish the principles of the new covenant, which frees us from the burden of the law.
The Holy Spirit comes alongside the Word of God to teach, empower, instruct, convict, and purify us. The result is understanding, repentance, renewal, and growth in Jesus. Theologian Philip Jacob Spener wrote: The more at home the Word of God is among us, the more we will bring about faith and its fruits. Lets pray with the psalmist: Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law so that we might live it out in our lives (Ps. 119:18).
Heavenly Father, we bow in Your presence. Let Your
Word be our rule and guide, Your Spirit our teacher,
and Your greater glory be our supreme concern,
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. John R. W. Stott
When the Word of God is within us, it flows out from our life.
: Psalm 119 is a celebration of Gods law, broken down into 22 sections that follow the letters of the Hebrew alphabet. When we take a look at the individual sections, we see that the psalmist personally looks to Gods law as a source of life and guidance. In todays passage, the psalmist celebrates Gods grace as he acknowledges that it is only through Him that he can keep His Word (v.17).
