We just refinished some cabinets (from old golden oak) to Java. We used a gel stain that made the task incredibly easy and had a very low smell. It was actually fun to work with...we were a little nervous, but so happy with the results. The added bonus was NO FUMES!

At least your coats and boots will be lookin’ good in that newly painted closet of yours! Best of luck with the rest of the painting. Keep up the good work ;-)

Hey thanks for the encouragement! The paint was supposed to be low fumes and I am so glad it really is. I am really sensitive to perfumes, cig. smoke and other stuff, so I wondered if it was wise to paint inside in the winter. No worries though, it didn’t bother me a bit.
