The most common misconception among doctors, dieticians and personal trainers is that the missing mass has been converted into energy or heat. "There is surprising ignorance and confusion about the metabolic process of weight loss," says Professor Andrew Brown, head of the UNSW School of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences. "The correct answer is that most of the mass is breathed out as carbon dioxide. OK. This is going to be Too Much Information, but when I’m ‘dieting’ I, um, poop more due to all of those vegetables, fruits and whole grains I’m eating.
I’m pretty sure all of my extra ‘dioxides’ are going down the crapper and are then ‘lovingly processed’ by Government Workers at the local Crap Plant who make it all clean and shiny and new again!
See? There IS a great benefit to weight loss! You get to sh*t on Government Workers!
