Scientists are tuning in on the power of the spoken word, seeking the secrets of charisma.
By analyzing the harmonics of pitch, frequency and timbre, researchers at University of California, Los Angeles are discovering how charismatic public speakers use their voices to dominate, rouse and influence a large audience. They are finding that successful politicians in various countries, including Italy, France and Brazil, all share key vocal qualities that strongly affect how people respond to them, independent of the meaning of the words they say or the ideas they express.
In a separate analysis of some prominent business leaders, the researchers also found charismatic patterns in the public speeches of Apple Inc. Chief Executive Tim Cook and the late Steve Jobs .
For speech experts, the voice is an instrument of rare persuasive power, tuned by evolution and culture to communicate far more than words alone convey. Some people are just born with the charismatic qualities that dominate or inspire trust, but voice researchers are confident that at least some of these acoustic elements can be taught.
“You have the capacity to shape your voice in a way that makes people perceive you as a leader,” said UCLA acoustic scientist Rosario Signorello, who conducted the charisma experiments. He presented his work recently at the annual meeting of the Acoustic Society of America in Indianapolis. “It applies to politicians, to CEOs, to everyone who aspires to leadership status.”

I left a meeting earlier today - the speaker sure could have used some tips from this!! “..and, uh...” “um” “ah” constituted about 1/4th of his presentation.
I’ve been studying this for 30 years. It goes far beyond the vocal tones and linguistics. It’s body language, eye contact and demeanor.
I even studied and learned stage hypnosis as part of my search to understand the process. While I will never use it, I know that satan does and I teach people how it works so they are not vulnerable to it.

It’s very clear Obama has relied upon neurolinguistic programming to hypnotize his already stupid audience.

Combination of factors... I was a university professor but also studied religion. People like Rev. Jeremiah Wright fascinate me. They speak hogwash but yet put people in trance to follow them blindly.
The speaker in the video (at the link) talks about the range of vocals of charismatic individuals. This is one of trance induction techniques to destabilize the emotional aspect of consciousness and have people surrender their authority to you.
The first time I observed the technique was with a charismatic evangelist. I can see if a minister is connected to the Holy Spirit by the white light that follows them around as they speak. I had no problem with what the evangelist was saying but could not see the light around him. At first I thought it was just me as I was tired, it was late at night and I had just driven four hours in the dark with it raining.
Soon the evangelist had people falling off their chairs while he proclaimed that they were drunk with the spirit.
He would wave his and and people would fall over. People were speaking in tongues.
I squinted and strained, but still no Holy Spirit. Suddenly it hit me and I became physically sick as I realized that this evangelist was using stage hypnosis tricks in a religious service. People were surrendering their power to the evangelist in a trance, not to God. It was a sick show.
I walked out of the service, still feeling physically sick to have seen this atrocity. As I stood there in the rain, I turned to God and asked, “Why was I led here to see such an atrocity?” The answer came quickly..”This is how the anti-messiah will lead the people. This happened back in the mid 1990’s before I ever heard of Obama. He uses many of these same techniques. It’s why people were passing out at his campaign rallies. I demonstrate the technique with groups in order to teach them awareness. When I hear someone doing it, it’s as though warning sirens go off in my head...BEWARE!

The only thing Trey fails to mention is that “Spoliation of Evidence” is criminal at the point at which the person becomes aware that their “may” be litigation in the future. This is long before charges are filed. I’m also a forensic CPA.
This is good work, but it doesn’t explain Hitler, with his incessant screaming. It’s easier for me to understand the appeal of Obama early in his presidency and initial campaign, than Hitler.
Hitler was a product of another time, when the media was geared towards screamers, everyone screamed back then for the newsreels.
Now with Television, the need to be a screamer isn’t necessary.
But um....that sounds like it could be a drinking game.
