When global warming is a prerequisite for grant money, global warming is going to be an explanation for everything. Other possibilities, like fewer hurricanes, or underwater volcanoes can’t possibly have anything to do with warmer ocean temperatures, not to mention jet streams. It has to be increased CO2 gasses in the atmosphere causing the water to heat up, despite not having any evidence to support that.
Funny how their manipulated sea temperature highs hasn’t resulted in real world hurricane highs.
They are measuring a few hundred years (assuming we credit them with anything before 1900) — that is not even an eyeblink in Earth’s 4.5 billion history.
