Take a moment to hear the National Anthem in a new way, on this day when we vote and celebrate America.
Voted this AM. Even with early voting, the polling location at the Outer Banks NC was ‘swamped’ at 8:00 AM this morning. Highly unusual here.
Already did.
Wrong forum. I think you're looking for DU.
Thanks, I need humor! and TUMS!
My locale is a bedroom community for the DC area. I just walked to the library three blocks away and walked right to the desk. Photo ID now required!!
In the early mornings here there are lines as folks vote before their 40 mile trip to DC so I waited until now and missed the lines. My wife leaves for Ft Meade (94 miles away) at 5am so she will vote when she gets home at 5pm. I hope her line is short.
But voting might detract from our factories producing things. China doesn’t vote and look at all they manufacture. Voting hurts America’s competitiveness and sends jobs overseas. Keep America strong: go to work in a factory and don’t vote!

Good news on the other end of the scale too. I live in a grotesquely gerrymandered district. In 2012 it took over two and a half hours to vote and maybe one in ten was white. This morning there were very few people there at all and the race mix was about 50/50. If anyone should be blamed for voter suppression this year it’s 0bama.
Hey lay off!
:D
It’s election day. Let’s argue about Chinese trade practices tomorrow.
I proudly cast my vote for Rob Astorino for governor of the Empire State. Voter turnout was average. Got into a tiff with the stupid, foreign-born, barely English-speaking poll worker who tried to block the box where I sign in. The drone covered up the part of the sheet that shows where my name is so I sign in the correct area next to my name. I moved the piece of paper the drone was using and the drone proceeded to try to grab the book out of my hands telling me that I am not allowed to view the names in the book—which is total BS. I grabbed the book from the drone and in a loud and assertive voice told the drone that I am fully familiar with election law and will not permit the drone to tell me how to vote.
This is not the first incident I have had at my polling place. In fact, it is a yearly thing where one of the useful idiots either tells people who to vote for or a candidate brings campaign literature into the polling place or the leftists stand too close to the polling place intimidating voters.
Voter fraud and intimidation is alive and well in New York.
Highly unusual? What do you make of it?
voted, no one in line But the tables were stacked with absentee ballots in envelopes.
Voted early last week. Thank goodness. We’re having a monsoon in N. Texas. Patiently waiting to see Wendy Davis crash and burn.
Heading there at the end of this month.
Abandoning California, finally.
Al baby, you’re a good-looking dude!
Meet Hurricane Vance, who may be responsible for some vote suppression today?
Not many voters at my precinct, but that's probably good, given G'boro is liberal.
