How about all of the label requirements for food sold in EU?

Those requirements fill volumes.

What is the difference in this case?

The obvious conclusion is that the US is a subservient nation to the WTO. If this is tolerable to you...sit down.

It’s been a while since I’ve followed this case, but the general rule-of-thumb is that your requirements must apply to all producers. The first version of the US COL regs only applied to Mexico and Canada, if I recall.

” ... requirements put Canadian and MEXICAN livestock at an unfair disadvantage.”

bs to that. I want to know if my meat comes from an ecoli hotbed like Mexico or some other third world nation.

The US Department of Agriculture better step up. Would it be okay for our pork to come from Liberia?

The difference is who the WTO favors, obviously.

Nobody does micromanaging like the EU. Even the Red Chinese are jealous.

Great - guess it’s now OK to get unlabeled meat from China. Could be dog treats for all they care - and Chinese dog treats kill.

Funny I was just in Canada and saw signs stating 100% Canadian beef..

So questions I would assume all three country want to support buy from home products

So does this ruling apply to all countries involved?

Or is it just the US that can not label non domestic beef vs domestic as such?
