I have spent a little time compiling links to threads about the Ebola outbreak in the interest of having all the links in one thread for future reference.
Please add links to new threads and articles of interest as the situation develops.
Thank You all for you participation.

[Tougher on smokers than on ‘ebol-ee’. — Obama’s pronunciation.]
I think we are all proper f***ed!
This is a bad joke that won’t go away!
“organic components (a hybridized tobacco strain?) that have to first be grown, before being distilled into the Zmapp components.”
Right, but the harvest is in the fall. From fall to spring seems a very long bottleneck for such an urgent treatment.
Obama must have been listening to Stevie Wonder....Ebol-ee and Ivor-ee, get together in true harmon-ee, why don’t weeee....../s
Don’t worry, we have ‘corps-men’ taking care of this ‘ebol-ee’ not only in Africa but in all 57 states.
I hear you, and while I rush out to dig my bunker, I’ll be cracking jokes the whole way down.
No, the truth is that the political pressure against Obama is mounting. He might have wanted us infected [apparently], but it will be difficult for him to maintain this much ‘stuptidity’. I thought we were at 50/50 of a full-blown outbreak. Odds keep improving slightly each day [without any positive tests] that we are going to close the door on this Ebola invitation before the horse is out the barn.
Not out of the woods yet, but there’s reason to hope.
God bless you and all the others here who worked so tirelessly on this important research!

[Seems to be a load of bull — even protective suits aren’t enough to spread infection.]
You will find their names on Ebola Surveillance Thread and the multitude of articles posted and threads linked there.
What they have ferreted out, from a multitude of sources, has built the archive so far.
Posting your sensible question here:
“The other gem in here is that we have 2,000 survivors who are immune for a decade or more. Why are they not being paid generously to transport and provide hands-on care for the sick? They would inspire confidence and save the lives of doctors and nurses who could stand back a little and coach the survivor/caregivers.”
The same was done during the Black Death. These researchers might know if that’s being done in Africa.
[If it’s not being done, gotta wonder why?]
Also, we have web conferencing. This is the age of the ‘aero-plane’ as some sassy ‘improved’ lightbulb ad keeps saying. So why do so many docs have to fly out there personally to begin with? When they fly back, an Ebola patient might be sitting right next to them.
Hannity kept saying last week that we have a cure for Ebola as though we have plenty of Zmapp stocked up. [I’m glad Rush knows better.]
I hope Hannity is up to speed now. He’s kind of the ‘go to guy’ of Talk Radio during events like this:
[Cupping hands...]
Not until next spring, Brother Hannity! And then only a few hundred!
Obama has NO PLAN to speed up the production of Zmapp. No plan whatsoever. What does that say about him?
Where does this number come from? I have yet to see ANY tabulation of lab confirmed Ebola survivors. Would be good news if it were so.
If there are 3,000 dead with a fatality rate of 54%, then there would be about 2,800 survivors.
[Regarding the cameraman in a protective suit who contracted ebola ...]
thackney posted: “He was in Liberia for a couple weeks before NBC hired him as a cameraman.”
That’s something of a relief if he did not contract it while wearing a suit.
