I should have pinged you too. Busy Saturday at my house, apologies to anyone that wasn’t pinged directly to that one. It’s a jaw dropper for sure.

“Respiratory infection controls being used for Ebola patients are unnecessary, may contribute to public panic”

The narrative is an interesting one. If medical personal protect themselves, then it will cause a public panic. I guess the medical personal are too stupid to use the equipment trial balloon deflated.

Everyone I sent a link to of the CDC teleconference are stupefied. You have to give credit to the CDC. Their "you are stupid and we are the authorities message" is causing medical personal to research it and gear up. It is the LIVs that worry me now.

The one point about respirators being expensive is absolute dung. You can supply an entire hospital medical staff, including P100 refills for the price of one "wellness administrator."

I know why they are pushing the narrative. If Americans were truly informed, then they would demand the boarders be closed. That would slow down the destruction of America.

What does it cost to train one doctor?

The CDC has gone insane.

See this clip from that thread —

CDC Changes Criteria for Ebola Transmission; admits “being within 3 feet” or “in same room” can cause infection

THIS WEEK the CDC changed their information about how Ebola can spread; they now admit “being within 3 feet” of an infected person or “being in the same room” with an infected person can allow the virus to infect someone else! They also admit a person who is infected, but not yet showing symptoms, is contagious!

http://preventebola.com/public/index.php/news/54-cdc-changes-criteria-for-ebola-transmission-admits-being-within-3-feet-or-in-same-room-can-cause-infection

video: http://investmentwatchblog.com/rapidly-mutating-ebola-renders-diagnostic-tests-inaccurate-aka-you-may-have-a-new-strain-of-ebola-and-test-negative/

Notably, this appears right after a Nigerian student coming to the US claims the direct contrary, that nobody should be afraid of catching in from someone in their college class.

Black Agnes:" Four days after the virus is no longer detectable in their bloodstream, they are allowed to go home."

This sounds like a recipie for disaster !
I believe that I have read that the Ebola virus can remain alive in male seminal fluids for up to 90 days post recovery. No ? "
Such a procedure would allow the contaigion to leap-frog past quarentene sites , and provide for further infection in the future.

Just think of two things...
Ebola...
and Ferguson Missouri.
It’s enough to scare anyone.

It sounds like the CDC / WHO may have already gone into "Public Relations" model
Already , we have expierienced medical personell contracting the disease and dropping ,.. either from the disease , or from exhaustion.
What are they going to do .. ?
This is no time to be 'penny-wise' when a whole continent is at risk !

Nice story. I like the blue dresses they give the nursing students in Sierra Leone, very attractive.

It looks like the problem with recovered Ebola patients is that people remain afraid of them, even after they have been shown to be virus-free for 4 days and have a certificate.

The families look very close in those pictures; they do not strike me as the kind of people who would be flippant about instructions to not be intimate before the required wait period is over.

I wonder if someone is doing a more systematic study to determine the outside limits of virus viability in bodily fluids (mostly semen and breast milk; the virus also can survive in fluid inside the eye, but I don't see that as a route of transmission). It would certainly make sense to do the follow-up with these recovered patients, and so much can be learned.

“The families look very close in those pictures; they do not strike me as the kind of people who would be flippant about instructions to not be intimate before the required wait period is over.”

Looks are very often deceiving. You are essentially trusting the whole village to the sex drive of one person.

Read the Hot Zone. One man gave Marburg to every prostitute in a single village.

Don’t assume that men only have sex with their wives. They often have sex with themselves, other women and even other men.

Moreover, most of the people in those countries are illiterate. They also have little regard for Western medicine. Plus they now have certificates declaring them ‘cured’. So, if they’re indeed ‘cured’, why the need to abstain for 7+ weeks?

It’s a recipe for disaster.

Heartbreaking.

Small businessmen will be bankrupted even if they manage to avoid having this strike someone they know.
