Well...no doubt she had problems. For all her gifts, I wouldn’t want to walk those paths in life that she did.
Ann-Margret, as long as we are going down this road.
My chosen beauties would include Ava Gardner and especially Raquel Welch, two brunettes.
wish I knew how to post pics

Don't forget the "" marks.
She also winds up being a collector of broken hearts through no fault of her own. I know.
MM was intelligent but spiritually broken, hence vulnerable.
Her persona of the blonde sex bomb was a complete fabrication. Something invented to get parts and more press. But it wasn’t truly her.
Her time with Arthur Miller was spent with the goal of breaking the stereotype of the dumb blond sex kitten and to let emerge an intellectual lady who had very deep character and talent for acting. She was trying to change her image. But the studios kept casting her for character parts that she was famous for and for which they were assured a profit. And then she truly loved Joe because he was the consummate family man which she also wanted and needed. But he was baseball and not a giant intellect like Miller.
So her internal conflict was never resolved. Her suffering the abuse of the Kennedys pushed her over the deep end. She overdosed perhaps not intentionally but to try and escape her conflict, thinking she would face it again another day.
So many men that knew her said the same thing about her, that they thought they could help her. But in the end they could not. But this is the quality that attracted the men in her life. She was intelligent and not demanding, and yet she made men want to help her. And as they held her they were drawn into her softness and sweetness. She had the special magic that made men feel more masculine.
Many other beautiful and brainy women of her era were not vulnerable, not in need of help and so men thought them competitors, thought they could never be certain with such women, did not feel so heroic and important as they did with MM.
Hedy Lamarr. Inventor of the cellular phone. (In the same way Arthur C. Clarke is the inventor of the communications satellite).
Yep. Smoking is bad for you. Fortunately these days the copper would be stolen in order to score more meth.
Ms. Lamarr was a Jew, that’s for sure.

As far as actresses, I could probably list a bunch, but some of the more memorable are- Sophia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida, Angie Dickenson, Suzanne Pleshette, Natalie Wood, Elizabeth Taylor, and Goldie Hawn.

Thanks for this.
What gifts! Beauty AND brains.
Thanks, Evening-—and have a good one! (evening, that is.)
No plastic in her body that I know of. Natural woman. Not like today. All these women today don’t know what is real on their body or fake.
Real boobs only!
A friend of mine met Grace Kelly at a wedding and when he first saw her he literally gasped at her beauty.
Personally I always thought the young Elizabeth Taylor was over the top beautiful. Whoever had a face like that? And for overall head to toe - Sophia Loren.
These pictures just cement that impression: Fat thighs, sloppy butt, vacant face, unhealthy appearance. Too much time around a lot of smokers and bars.
