Hi, All:

Overflowing Cuddle Puddle

What we have here is a swelling "Cuddle Puddle" that is quickly overflowing
With a plethora of sleepy Kittens who have no way of knowing
How "cute" they look when quietly seeking an edge or upper hand

Because, when "Nap Time" comes, even "The Rules of Courtesy" are banned
It's "Each Kitten for Themselves!" when seeking a furry Blanket or Mattress
Even if that puts the warm and cozy Kittens near the bottom in distress
Their soft and gentle Fur and even softer melodic Purrs will become a Lullaby

For those all around who haven't a conscious thought of "How?" or "Why?"
It's what Kittens do to charge their Batteries for adventures later in the day
And tomorrow, those on top may be on the bottom, prior to a Night's Foray!

A Heart For Prayer

Sept 16, 2014

Read: Psalm 27:7-14

When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.” —Psalm 27:8
Bible in a Year:
Proverbs 25-26; 2 Corinthians 9

While traveling on an airplane with her 4- and 2-year-old daughters, a young mom worked at keeping them busy so they wouldn’t disturb others. When the pilot’s voice came over the intercom for an announcement, Catherine, the younger girl, paused from her activities and put her head down. When the pilot finished, she whispered, “Amen.” Perhaps because there had been a recent natural disaster, she thought the pilot was praying.

Like that little girl, I want a heart that turns my thoughts toward prayer quickly. I think it would be fair to say that the psalmist David had that kind of heart. We get hints of that in Psalm 27 as he speaks of facing difficult foes (v.2). He said, “Your face, Lord, I will seek” (v.8). Some say that David was remembering the time he was fleeing from Saul (1 Sam. 21:10) or from his son Absalom (2 Sam. 15:13-14) when he wrote this psalm. Prayer and dependence on God were in the forefront of David’s thinking, and he found Him to be his sanctuary (Ps. 27:4-5).

We need a sanctuary as well. Perhaps reading or praying this psalm and others could help us to develop that closeness to our Father-God. As God becomes our sanctuary, we’ll more readily turn our hearts toward Him in prayer.

Teach me, Father, what it means to run to
and have You as my sanctuary. Help me not to
worry about the words I say, but just to express my
heart to You and to nestle down close to You.
In prayer, God can still our hearts and quiet our minds.

Insight

Many of the psalms are prayers to God, and many are songs to encourage others concerning the goodness and love of God. Today's psalm contains both elements. While David cries out to God for guidance and protection in verses 7-13, he ends his psalm with a message to the reader (v.14). Taking the lessons and thoughts expressed in his prayer, David encourages the reader to trust the Lord and wait upon Him as he has done.

~A Happy Warm Fuzzy Wednesday~
To All At Amy's Place

~As Autumn Nears~

Summer sun, almost gone
Longer nights until dawn
Red-throated hummingbirds disappear
South they head with winter near
~~
Look back, reflect upon those longer days
Clear fall moon shines bright, white cool rays
Birth and death, all part of one
Seasons join, together run
~~
Stars seem brighter, pitch black sky
God speaks from tree tops oh so high
Harvest comes and it goes
Life’s questions linger, no one knows

Beautiful poem welcoming Fall, Meg! I’m going to print that one ;)

Love the pic, too. Reminds me of our sweet calico, that we lost a couple of years ago.

Happy Warm Fuzzy Wednesday to you....and all! ((HUGS))

Thank you, Jane...I enjoyed putting it all together.
I saw sunshine! (biefly) We have had many cloudy days but no rain save one brief shower Monday.

The forecast looks promising for this afternoon but the radar does not.
I’d love a nice rain!
I did get some good work done yesterday...the mountain of laundry is now a hill..LOL

The back is objecting to my activities.

MY GARDEN

You should see the seeds
I threw
They sprouted even before
I knew

Really, it’s me who
They amaze
I took care of them
And watered them every two days

Now I’m not the only one
Who tends gardens just for fun

The Sun, does its job
Of shining its light
Wow! Its really pretty
And shines real bright

The worms in the soil
Dig dig dig
They make plants grow
Big big big

Last but not least the rains
We shall thank for,
They water our plants
After all why not take advantage of a down pour?

All these things are what
My plant will need
To grow even bigger
and give more yield.

Thanks for the poem. Here is West Texas, rain is rare and we have been experiencing drought for years.
We do plant and nurture trees. There are no trees out side of town, except a former farm house might have a surviving tree or two (rare). Our landscape is semi-desert. almost no vegetation, or any water sources. Water wells for some.

I do have success with sun flowers. We mostly have water rationing and my water bill is $185.00 a month or more 8 months of the year.

Be grateful for God's favor and blessings, in Jesus name, amen.
