A British man has been been jailed for nine years after telling his girlfriend to plunge her 21-month-old daughter's head into a bucket of water, leading to the toddler's death. Ammaz Qureshi was in London when he made a Skype call to his girlfriend, Yasmin Chaudhry, in Norway, telling her how to discipline her daughter Hunaina.

So much hatred in the world, that we know. But toward a 21-month-old child? May God rest her soul.

Ammaz Qureshi... does not sound British to me.
Am always amazed when I hear stories like a American or Brit is being held or whatever, then it turns out his name is Ammaz Qureshi or something like that

Read the other punishments this dingbat “mother” handed out to this poor child. May God be merciful; I sure wouldn’t be.
From the article, the Skype-guy wasn’t the father, just some boyfriend who gave “authority in her life.”

I’m afraid that it sounds quite British to me. The most popular name for baby boys in England currently is Mohammed.

The mother killed her daughter by submerging her head in a bucket of water. The mother's sentence was eight years.
The mother's boyfriend told the mother to use this punishment in a Skype session, but he was not present and did not participate in the drowning. His sentence was nine years.
Is there some good explanation for this?

Liberalism at work. Just don’t try to engage in self defense...you’ll get no mercy.

The mother's sentence was eight years....Is there some good explanation for this? Yes, I want to know why she wasn't given the death sentence.

Story reminds me of Sybil. No wonder the child was “difficult”.
But why does the guy who suggested it get one more year than the person who did it?

Manson wasn’t at the murder of Sharon Tate and others but he got life for his part as the leader. Which is okay with me.
