No luck necessary, Moore’s law and Metcalf’s law are in full effect. Nothing known to man at this time can stop the adoption of Bitcoin!
To: TsonicTsunami08
So what’s the consensus? Are bitcoins a good thing or a not so good thing?

Through all the recent attacks Bitcoin managed to hold up just fine.
You can’t keep a good idea down, despite what all the naysayers say.

Nothing known to man at this time can stop the adoption of Bitcoin! Well, maybe global thermonuclear war. But then even gold and silver would be worthless.

So whats the consensus?
lol...A brief perusal of the numerous bitcoin threads on FR will demonstrate that there is nothing close to a consensus.
Are bitcoins a good thing or a not so good thing?
In my opinion, they have the potential to be a GREAT thing.

Thanks for the kind words Sonic... Thinking back when we all first started posting about Btc and all the crap we took, I remember you (and the others) always there helping to deflect it! ;)
There will be other trying times though. It comes in all cycles...

This is not financial advice. I have skin in Bitcoin. Bitcoin for me is a very good thing. Others on this board will disagree but events seem to contradict their feelings on the matter.
To: PoloSec
Yes, there has been intense negative pressure on Bitcoin by the state run media lapdogs from every quarter. Their efforts are failing miserably.

A thing can be neither good nor bad. It is what you do with the thing.

Agreed, there will be setbacks but the outcome is assured. This is going to help people everywhere.

Wall Street has been living on the Greater Fool theory for decades, they don’t care if it’s a sham so long as they can sell for 1 penny more than they bought.

“No luck necessary”
But volume is needed. Most of the bid/ask are in fractional shares/bitcoins.
