I am done. This site has broken me. I am as staunch a conservative as you will find. After returning from Iraq, injured and upset, I turned here and found a welcoming community that shared my thoughts. I am a proud Gadsden Flag waiving man of the Tea Party movement. But because I don't think Sarah Palin is as historically important as other GOP women in the past, I am now considered an idiot, a RINO, ass-kisser and whatever negative connotation you can throw my way. This site has changed so much since that dictator want to be became President it sickens me. It's lost its sense of community and has ran off many a good person. Heck even the Tea Party seems to be distorted here.
Doesn’t matter really, 2DV. It’s the same anti Palin crap that we have spent literally years dealing with. He hit the same ‘woe is me’ points, as did all his little helpers, when ever a PDSer gets blowback. Nothing new under the Freeping sun there.

People simply responded to his own discourteous, arrogant, gloating, and snotty remarks to individual people across multiple threads, and his lying. And they’ve called him on it. It’s “prolific” because as more people read his posts and took offense to them, they called him on it as well.
But somehow... it’s somebody else’s fault.
I won’t even address him anymore. I’ve turned my back on him. Much like he turned his back on his own land.
Maybe so, but what offices have they held? When did either one put themselves out there, slog through a campaign and all that that entails, and run a city or state? Anyone can opine, you and I are doing that right now. Leading people is much harder. The hardest jobs I've ever had were managing people, whether it was a squad of soldiers or a whole factory or an office full of salespeople.
Seems that’s a trend lately.
But God help us if we ‘question their conservatism’.
I give it a 1.5 at best. It had no rhythm and wasn’t easy to dance to.

Both are good Conservatives, true. But 2DV, your point is spot-on. Mrs. Palin KNEW the daggers that would come her way and still she put herself into the arena - against her OWN party where they were corrupt, and against the psychosis of the the Dems as well.
That takes courage. And that quality seems to be lacking in the majority of the GOP right now, other than a few bright shining examples like Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, Gohmert, Gowdy, Rand Paul and Sarah Palin.
Seems to me we’re here BECAUSE the GOP lacked the courage to stand the hell up. They’re afraid of being called “racist”...

It is. But unfortunately from your list, Rand is every bit afraid. His actions on immigration and support for McColnell support that assertion.

I’d REALLY like to see Alan West jump in the ring. West and Cruz together would be a powerful team. Straight-talk and guts, and a willingness to face harsh realities - and come up with a road back to sanity - is what is needed.
I’d vote that ticket in a heartbeat. I suspect many would. Hope we get the chance.
I am not thrilled with West’s Pigford or Trayvon BS but he’s well over the 80% threshold on the big issues. And I support the vast majority of what he says.

So is my daughter. I regularly send her copies of the “I’m a vet” excuse posts. I can’t print her response ;)
I have nothing but respect for vets. Plenty of them in my family. I’d have been one but health kept me out. The military’s choice, not mine. But I have zero respect for anyone trading on it for sympathy/as an excuse to win political arguments.
