Our forecast is:
Details for Thursday, January 23
Cloudy with occasional rain showers. Morning high of 49F with temps falling to near 35F. Winds NNE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 50%.
Evening: A wintry mix this evening will transition to some snow showers overnight. Cold. Low 24F. Winds NNE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precip 60%. About one inch of snow expected.
Sounds like it could become a real mess, but hopefully won’t.
Based on your info on BT, I picked up some squash and pickling cuke seeds this morning and also got some various hot peppers. They had a liquid BT for $10+ but different brand.
Great looking maters. What kind are there?
Yes, I like them.
The owner is a very good fellow and knowledgeable about his field.
Lowes got in some fruit tress, but no meyers yet.
My extended forecast says night time 19 degrees here next Tuesday night.

“I get the 16 oz. clear cups, not 9 oz.”
I like the 69 cent hard plastic 5 inches across and 4 inches deep pots with the excess water catcher underneath. Once I buy them, they will last forever, won’t have to replace them. I bought 20 of them and need to buy 20+ more. The plants can expand a lot in these larger pots before transplanting to their final container.
Johnny taught me to use 5 oz. paper cups for the seeds and to only water them from the bottom so I use an ice pick and make a few holes in the cup close to the bottom and put a few in the bottom. So far, almost every seed planted that way has germinated.

Plastic washes and saves well from year to year. The Jiffy trays I have are ten years old or more. I am gunna use 5oz Dixie cups this year so that they have more room for roots. I have used 8oz styro coffee cups, but do not have a source for them any longer and styro is not that suitable.
I don't have and won't have 100s of plants. These plastic pots don't taper downward like the plastic cups so there is more room for an expanded root system in the pots. Twenty of them cost me $13.80 and I'll spend that again for 20 more pots or even more pots. That is a minor investment compared to the money I have spent to put the garden together.
Garden making from scratch isn't cheap, but if one grows food, that is priceless.

I have Roma in another container.
Have you grown the Black Krim before? How do you like it’s flavor?
Rightly, below is our forecast for tonight and Friday. It has been lightly raining for a while now and I just went out to put row cover over plants and quilted moving blankets over the row cover because I think we are in for a real cold several days. While out there, I could hear something falling and hitting but I didn’t spot any ice pellets but that must have been what it was. Would you stick your head out the door and see if you hear something falling/hitting?
Johnny, are you getting any of this?
Thursday Night
Overcast with ice pellets and snow. Low of 27F with a windchill as low as 16F. Breezy. Winds from the NNE at 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation 70% .
Friday
Overcast with ice pellets and a chance of snow, then ice pellets and a chance of rain in the afternoon. High of 36F. Winds from the NNE at 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation 40% .
Friday Night
Partly cloudy in the evening, then clear. Low of 23F. Winds less than 5 mph.
It is below freezing now, and with a 25 mph wind from the north. I do not like.

I don’t think I want ice pellets hitting my plants, right? Weather tonight, tomorrow, says ice pellets so I need to keep the quilted moving blankets over plants tomorrow so ice pellets won’t tear them up, right? If it’s cold enough for snow, I need the blankets over the plants for that, too.
keep’em covered
