She rested in peace for about 2,000 years until utility crews came shortly before Christmas to install a new waterline on Pine Island Road in Davie.
That's when the fully intact skeleton of what is believed to be a Tequesta Indian woman was found perhaps the best-preserved remains of an ancient human uncovered in the past 40 years, authorities said Thursday.
"It's either Tequesta or the member of a people that predates the Tequesta," said Bob Carr, of the Archaeological and Historical Conservancy in Davie. "It's unusually well preserved, considering it's been under a highway with thousands and thousands of cars going over it every day."

What was stunning was that her Democrat voter registration was still active...
"You know, if I were a single man, I might ask that mummy out. Thats a good-looking mummy"
--Bill Clinton, looking at an Incan mummy ("Mummy Juanita") at the National Geographic museum
Cause of death:
Mummy Juanita was a human sacrifice in the Inca capa cocha. Radiologist Elliot Fishman concluded that she was killed by blunt trauma to the head.[5] He observed that her cracked right eye socket and the two-inch fracture in her skull are injuries "typical of someone who has been hit by a baseball bat." The blow caused a massive hemorrhage, filling her skull with blood and pushing her brain to one side.[6]

When she was leaving the room, he looked at her bruised face and, according to Juanita Broaddrick, said: You better put some ice on that.http://www.wnd.com/1999/02/3599/
That is a rather bizarre coincidence, isn’t it, that both are named Juanita. I thought about adding something about that to the post, but figured there was enough weirdness going on there already. Lol.
I worked in that area 1960-2000 with road crews on many projects. We uncovered a lot of things, mostly old cars.
As that particular area was within spitting distance of the golf course where Caddyshack was filmed. could this have been one of Ted Knight’s “Friends”?
He always liked older women.
By the way, has anyone seen Betty White lately?
Was she on a horse?
“2,000-year-old woman”
I didn’t know she died. I could have sworn I saw her driving a 1982 Toyota on the turnpike last week...had to be doing at least 20 or 21 MPH.
Probably voted last election.
“Wait! This is in a place called BROWARD County!”
“Probably voted last election.”
And probably wasn’t even aware of voting.
Tequesta-care was an ancestor of Obama-care. If they dig a bit deeper they’ll probably find the waiting room.
The woman, about 5 feet tall and about 20 to 30 years old, will now be analyzed by state and local archaeological authorities and then reburied in about a month in a secret location, with Seminole and Miccosukee Indians conducting the ceremony.
Any human remains should always be treated with dignity and respect. I hope, however, they can extract as much information as possible before she is re-interred. As for having Seminole (Seminoles were HISTORICALLY from out of state,) and Miccosukee Indians (she died 2000 years ago, for god’s sake - the chances the Miccosukees were descendants of hers is one in a million) is really absurd.
I can see current tribes wanting jurisdiction over historical burials, but this crap about connections to people who died a thousand years ago are simply absurd. The time frames are just too large.
Its another example of why people who believe in political correctness should be institutionalized for the safety of society.
I don't think so:
Bye, Bye Beringia (8,000 Year Old Site In Florida)
