We are currently at 5 degrees F. Headed to -10F tonight. Wind Chill in already more than that. Wind Chill predicted to be -30 to -50 tomorrow for the morning commute. We are about 75 miles south of St. Louis Missouri.

Coldest weather for us in more than 20 years for sure. We got about 9 inches of snow this weekend. My grand daughter has only had 1 1/2 days of school since December 13.

We had one winter in the 1980s IIRC, where we had no school for the entire months of January and February. Hope we don't have a repeat.

Got a -6 feels like -24 here in Kansas. If it weren’t for global warming I would probably be a bit chilly right now.

+36 degrees with rain in southwest Alaska.

If it’s cold somewhere, it’s warm somewhere else, that’s how weather works.

Per your advisory...

After spending my formative years in NoDak, I chuckle at the bread and milk thing. We went to liquor stores, just to be sure.

5 am in the piney woods of East Texas. 17 degrees with wind chill around 8. Somewhat less than desirable. I recall a Chemistry professor in college claim that “cold ... is the absence of heat” Profound.

Central Gulf coast of Florida, just north of Clearwater:

64 at 7 AM this morning, going up to 68.

Cold wave tomorrow (Tuesday) dropping to low of 36.
Warming up again Wednesday with high of 64.

Sure beats where I'm from (the Chicago 'burbs)....where it's going down to -16 with more snow on the way.

17.1° in my part of north Texas this morning. It's officially too freaking cold to ride my motorcycle. I'm willing to ride in anything less than 20° if I have to. Good thing I work from home these days.

Time to bring in the plants. Gonna be down in the 20's tonight and tomorrow night. But, at least we'll warm back up into the 80's come the weekend.

For those who have never experienced 20's and 30's in Florida...it's friggin' cold and bitter! And, doesn't do much good for the citrus crops or veggies in the ground. If it gets to 27 and stays there for three hours, it not only destroys the citrus crop but kills the trees.
