Grandson Gerry's best friend (on the left) just completed Marine Corps basic and showed up here looking for my daughters famous hot wings. My grandson is in the middle of FNG annual training but got leave so he could be here today.
This is the hope of America!
They're the best!
They are out back this minute exercising my K-31.
Congratulations, it’s good to see.
Very good!
You are fortunate to have the presence of these young men. My wife and I just returned from Beaufort, SC this afternoon and saw a number of new graduate Marines from Parris Island with their families. Does make us proud to see such fine young men (did not see any ladies but know they are there) representing our great nation.
Parris Island by two touchdowns
Awesome! Tell them thank you from me. They look like fine, young men.
Excellent!
You also have good taste in your gun selections. I just bought another case of surplus Gewehrpatrone 11. Still reasonably priced despite the ammo shortages. (except for the shipping)
There can’t be much of that stuff left. I don’t know how many rifles were imported, maybe the ammo will last for a while. It is superb!
The ladies were there.
My daughter was there 7 years ago (now a Staff Sergeant at Little Creek).
The thing that impressed me the most about her and her friends was their bearing around other people. She graduated at 30 from Parris Island after earning several university degrees, but her “presence” around other people was a far cry from the typical graduation gatherings I had attended.
OORah. Parris Island , class of ‘89.
Your grandson and his friend have my admiration for their accomplishments and my gratitude for their service.
You have my envy for having such a child that raised such a grandson.
God bless them & keep them safe from harm.
Got to raise them in a swamp, concrete is bad for them, LOL
Congrats on your daughter.
One is able to spot the Marines, active or inactive, out of a crowd of service personnel in civilian attire with a very high rate of success.
The first tell here was the grip on the weapon. As in "Go ahead, try to take it away and make my day."
Well there were a couple of times I wanted to put mine in concrete. ;)
Please thank them for me for their service.
So GOOD to see! Brings tears to my eyes! Congratulations! Hug them from me. :o)
Sweet! Oo-rah & hooah!
Yes, they are the hope of this nation. God bless them. And God bless you. Thank you for sharing this.
What a coincidence. My son just finished boot camp at MCRD-PI and graduated on Friday, too! Very proud mum.
