It’s not about computers, it’s about networks, or really “not”works, which is what my brain is. That’s why logic is generally left bleeding on the floor.

Papa will remember the time Junior got tangled up with that bar cub and the mama bar gave Junior a whoopin’. Mama wanted to beat the mama bar away to save Junior but Papa said he wouldn’t larn nuthin if’n she did that. Junior had to larn him not to mess with a bar cub.
Junior had a big scratch on his arm but he larned not to mess with bar cubs.
I think the mama bar learned not to mess with Junior, too, but I ain’t sure.

If he made a mistake in marrying her, he is the one that has to live with it, not me. I will empathize, but I still won’t tell him what I think of his choice.
I’ve never done it in the past and I won’t do it now.
If he suffers from mental illness when skirts are around, he will have to learn from that, as well.
He went through a period here about three months ago where he was just as mean and spiteful to me as he could get, and it had me pretty upset. He’s NEVER done that!
Then I realized he was listening to his “committee” and that he would come out of it. Or not. I refuse to compound an already touchy problem with my opinions.

Aha! We were right! (Character flaw: I rub things in. Toldja ya shoulda called him earlier. I couldn't go to sleep last night and then slept 'til 1030.) See, the logic there is guythink. They're darling and loveable and all that, but some of them are space cases. It isn't intentional. They just don't see it! He probably figured, "I already told her I'm OK." They then transfer energy to whatever brain compartment they need to use at the time. Serial thinkers. I read a book called "What Could He Be Thinking" or something like that, and it actually explained brain structure, processes involved, studies which included imaging results, etc., concerning the differences in function between the male and female brains. It isn't that he doesn't care. It was not in his consciousness.

Oh, I forgot to mention that you do not actually put the sweaters in the “sweater” bag. Sorreee! Don’t put them in there next time, and all will be well.

What are these “sane socks” of which you speak? Once they have traveled through the interdimensional portals in the washer and/or dryer, they’re never normal again.
That’s why you have to trick them into getting into the “sweater” bag. But they’re not only insane, but also not very bright, so after a few washings, getting into the bag is normal and natural to them... Most of them... Mostly...
To: M Kehoe
Oh no! The socks turned the trick on you, didn’t they. Hang on. Or rather, don’t hang on! Go north and get a gamma ray ride out of there! Quickly.
You can deal with the socks when you get back. I hope that you bought a nice, fine-gauge sweater bag? They cost more, but they really control the socks.
To: TheOldLady
I am overjoyed you have been able to train your socks fairly well. Never had the kind of success with socks you have reiterated. Me socks give me nothing but misery. Does acid in the wash help in turning the socks more toward the sane side? Me just using soap no Clorox. Maybe bleach is not acidy. Have some Acetic around here somewhere and pickle juice. Does pickle juice work?

I use powdered laundry detergent from Sam’s Club. I get a bucket of it every once in a while. Lasts a long time.
I add Chlorox liquid color-safe bleach and Downey fabric softener in the final rinse - most washers these days have automatic final rinse additions.
By the time the spin cycle is over they’re usually cowed into submission.
Best wishes getting your corralled and trained.
