I am overjoyed you have been able to train your socks fairly well. Never had the kind of success with socks you have reiterated. Me socks give me nothing but misery. Does acid in the wash help in turning the socks more toward the sane side? Me just using soap no Clorox. Maybe bleach is not acidy. Have some Acetic around here somewhere and pickle juice. Does pickle juice work?
I use powdered laundry detergent from Sam’s Club. I get a bucket of it every once in a while. Lasts a long time.
I add Chlorox liquid color-safe bleach and Downey fabric softener in the final rinse - most washers these days have automatic final rinse additions.
By the time the spin cycle is over they’re usually cowed into submission.
Best wishes getting your corralled and trained.
