My Daughters cat just died. Expired from Natural causes as near as I can deturmine, I went to pet him and he was starting to stiffen up.
He was a good cat, black as Satan with a propencity to open closed doors. She is heart broken.
Oh so sorry. I just had 2 of my dogs pass away on Noveber 14th my Wstie Lily she was 12 and my Pomeranian Poppy on November 21st she was 14. My husband and I are still reeling from it. If you can just give your daighter a big hug and maybe she can share some funny stories about the cat
with you.
Sorry to hear this. Encourage her to grieve. I’ve lost two so far, very tough. I have two more, who were strays. Nice cats.
I have 4. Come get one. The bipolar one died though.
Well, it didn’t just die. I had the vet kill it.
Also, get or make a scratching post asap. Then, if the new cat is a kitten, teach it to use the post. I did that for our four kitten that I found 10 years ago. They have never tried or even indicated wanting to scratch the furniture.
So sorry to hear about your daughter’s cat. When the time is right for her... the perfect fuzzy buddy will be ready for her. Good wishes and thoughts your way.
Sorry. (((hugs)))
I am so sorry to hear your daughter’s cat went to the Rainbow Bridge. Please give her lots of hugs.
The Rainbow Bridge is good, but it makes me sad.
My sympathies.
When the time is right.... get another kittie.
Bless her. I’m so sorry.
Please go to an animal shelter and get her another kitten.
(the best medicine for loss of a kitty)
Sorry
My cat is house broke and purrs constantly.
Simply the perfect cat, and I have had dozens.
Mine, too, but it was bathroom doors. Couldn't stand for anyone to close a bathroom door. I'd warn visitors to lock the door but they never believed me until it was too late.
Hugs to lil' Bill and poor kitty.
I would never declaw a cat. That’s like amputating a human’s fingers.
AMEN! Works for dogs also. I've heard some say they feel they're being disrespectful to the lost one by getting another one so soon, but it's really just the opposite. You're honoring the one who has gone by getting another one to share you heart and home especially when you can get a shelter one who may be losing it's own life soon. .
Second best was a stray Norwegian Forest Cat. Very intelligent and gentle.
I love Main Coons. They're huge. Males can get to 25-30 lbs.
I don’t know when I’ve seen a sweeter face. Just beautiful. How fortunate you are to be able to share you life with such a wonderful baby.
I never was a cat person until my daughter got some. Then she got my wife into them. So we had two, de-clawed and neutered. Then my daughter moved back in with her three cats. I’ve come to love them but it is sad when they expire like your daughters did. Best wishes. Get a replacement. Only de-claw if you have to. But definitely neuter.
I had one like that, Kenneth.
Not only did he beat the hell out of the other cats, he'd pee on my daughter's rug, hide under my son's bed and wait for him to fall asleep and then jump on his chest, and hated my wife.
I tell folks he died of a-hole-ism.
Sorry to hear about her loss, nobody wants to hear of a pet dying.
If she gets another one, PLEASE don't have it declawed, she can trim the cat's nails with a common nail clipper..
Unknown to most people, the declawing process requires the amputation of the first knuckle on each toe, not the removal of the nail as most people think..
