A lot of people who were against us "birthers" said the issue was nonsense, and a distraction, and that we should quit wasting time on it because "we have to defeat Barack Obama at the ballot box." As a person who saw how the media swindled us out of the 2008 election, I never took it as a given that we would be ABLE to defeat Obama at the ballot box. Why would the media not do the same thing to us in 2012? Given that the election fraud perpetrated by Democrats had been taken to an entirely new level by this Chicago crew, I saw it as a real danger that winning an election against this guy was no sure thing. (He Cheats)
What I also saw in 2008 was someone who was inexplicably sensitive to issues regarding his birth and citizenship, and who displayed a degree of stubbornness towards it that could only be explained by the possibility that he was hiding something really bad. It was a loose thread sticking out. I had always thought we should pull at that thread and see what unravels, but there were those of you out there (and you know who you are) that were absolutely terrified and/or disdainful of touching this issue, and preferred to rely exclusively on a political campaign to save us from this Communist.
I am not an “anti-birther”, but I have never believed and I do not believe now that the facts about Obama’s birth are sufficently known or knowable to result in his removal from office.
As a result of this belief, which I share with a lot of people, it has seemed prudent to pursue political remedies.
It has also become clear that, since passionate birthers are no closer to the truth now than they were in 2009, tha they are not likely to make any more progress in the next four years.
Even before the first election, I was in favor of investigating and exposing this imposter.
Actually most of us rested on the fact that the whole birther argument is legal hokum, that no court has ever agreed with, phoney 'precedents" that aren't precedents at all not withstanding.
Why do you think that?
To me, the task seems so close to impossible as to be effectively so.
And, to you, Happerset v Minor is just “legal hokum”?
I did sadly.
I am apparently apt to buy into such things. I do not believe he is eligible for one second.
But two things dawned on me. One is the judicial branch is utterly corrupt, and secondly I do not want the corrupt judiciary to have the power or precedent to remove a president that we elected, not that I voted for Obama but generally speaking, because any elected republican president from that point on will be in jeopardy of being removed by a judge for whatever reason.
Also there is no chance whatsoever that the republicans in congress would impeach the first black president and even less chance that the U.S sewer, er senate, would convict him.
It was always up to us, the american citizens, to guard our own freedom, and we failed in that duty.
Why is it unreasonable to ask that someone, who had claimed to have been born in Kenya, show an official document to our election officials so as to prove he was not?
Why is it unreasonable to ask our election officials to see his official proof of birth?
Go ahead.
I thought you had demanded all those things already, many times.
It would appear that those demands are even less likely to be granted today than at any time in the past, but nobody's stopping you. Demand away.
Why is it unreasonable to ask that our election officials see his official proof of birth? He claimed to have been born in Kenya, so what's wrong with asking for official proof that he wasn't?
Obama was/is a fraud sitting in our White House
Ineligible to hold the office and selected by the vote counters.
All this is done because not enough good people were willing to face the ridicule by the left. And of course this thread is full of the shoulder shrugging cowards.
The “We’ll get um next time” crowd refusing to admit or accept the truth. Our government has been taken over by communists. It is as simple as that.
All of this is frightening and true.
This isn’t about running a better candidate or running on better issues. I sooo wish it was, but no. It is much bigger.
We could have ran Ronald Reagan and Obama would still have won.
It's not at all unreasonable.
Go ahead, ask.
I thought you asked already.
Well, I am not anti-birther by any means. These are good people who are passionate in their beliefs. I just think that the issue is absolutely dead wrong. Unlike the Libs, we can disagree.
Good point. Conservatives (and most Republicans) always make the mistake of assuming that the other side will play by the rules, be fair, tell the truth, and lose gracefully. They never learn.
I beg to differ. As Glenn Reynolds says (Of Instapundit) "What cannot continue, will not continue." I regard "normal" as being defined by God and Nature. We are currently experiencing an aberration, one which cannot be sustained. It will eventually break, and eventually we will return to normallacy.
At least someone fully understands what the situation really is.
And for the record regarding the Birther issue - non-starter.
I believe Obama is the son of Frank Marshall Davis, and was indeed born in this country - but a conspiracy to keep that quiet has existed from the start by the Dunham’s. That is the reason his birth certificate is a forgery. It was probably originally listed as ‘father unknown’. Ann Dunham’s marriage to Hussein Obama was window dressing.
But back to the original reply - the ballot box is useless in national contests - we suffered a coup in 2008 and Marxists NEVER leave power and always rig their permanent rule to appear as if the people chose them.
It's not unreasonalbe to ask. But there's no requirement that he do so. So unless enough people care to get him voted out of office, it isn't going to matter. And clearly most Americans don't care.
