Last night was bad.

She needs all the prayers she can get, we stopped being a Republic when the welfare and bailout kings won the majority on the 6th.
It comes from keeping electing evil RINOS who are just a tad less evil than their RAT counter parts, they are then selecting RINOS like romney, because they don’t want the gravy train they are on to stop, which moving truly more Constitutional and conservative would do. So We our generation have flushed our heritage of Freedom down the toilet for the gov’t to take care of us. We are no better than France, or the rest of Europe. Puppet dictatorships!
They don’t want the likes of Alan West, Sarah Palin rocking their gravy boat.

The Legacy
November 8, 2012
One day my wife called me at work and said, Somethings going on next door. Lots of cars are there. Because of my neighbors occupation, I feared the worst, and soon those fears were realized. Our neighbor, policeman Trevor Slot, had just been killed in the line of duty, trying to stop the escape of two bank robbers. Our community was stunned.
Trevor had no time to prepare for his death. Yet he was ready. His faith in Christ was secure, and his reputation as a remarkable man was intact. At his funeral, attended by hundreds of fellow officers, his colleague Detective Brandyn Heugel said, He was a dedicated police officer, but first and foremost he was a loving husband to Kim and a doting father to Kaitlyn and Abbie. Indeed the theme of Trevors tributes all centered on his great personality and his love and care for his family.
Trevors life exemplified the words of Colossians 3:12-13, Put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering, bearing with one another, and forgiving one another. Those traits leave an inspiring legacy.
We dont know when God will call us home, but we do know this: Each day is an opportunity to leave a testimony worthy of our faith.
Oh, may all who come behind us find us faithful;
May the fire of our devotion light their way;
May the footprints that we leave lead them to believe,
And the lives we live inspire them to obey. Mohr
Each day we add to our legacygood or bad.

Dear Conor, I just read this post from yesterday and it touched me so deeply. We can never praise our warriors enough today. You and millions of brave men have given us our rights today that we cherish so deeply. And you would be willing to lay down your life today to keep America safe and free.
I salute you and all the others on Free Republic who have fought so hard to give us our rights, including Dave, The Mayor and my beloved husband who served 4 years in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. (if only our so called CIC could pronounce it correctly.)
May God Bless all who served this country! May only good things come your way. ((((HUGS TO ALL)!!!!

(I received this from a friend yesterday, from my church.) Maybe it will lift us up today!! This was the day before the election.

Dear Friends,
For months now my email Inbox has been besieged by nearly hysterical warnings about what will happen if Barack Obama becomes President
I have been encouraged to be worried, afraid, concerned, for disaster, and a whole host of other maladies if this happens
do not deny the importance of this election, but it seems to me that we need a dose of perspective
So here, on the eve of the election, I would like to start my own email concerning this electionIt's a "True/False" test. I'd like for all of us to take it. Feel free to email it on to whomever
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, Jesus will still be King
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, our responsibilities as Christians will not have changed one iota.
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, the greatest agent for social change in America will still be winning the hearts and minds of men and women through the gospel, not legislation
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, my primary citizenship will still be in this order - (1) the Kingdom of God, (2) America, not vice-versa
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, the tomb will still be empty.
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, the cross, not the government, will still be our salvation.
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, our children will still be more concerned with whether or not we spend time with them than with who is President.
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, my neighbor will still be my neighbor, and loving him/her will still be the second greatest commandment. (Do you know the first?)
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, the only way to see abortion ultimately overturned will still be winning men and women to a high view of life through the gospel of Christ.
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, the only way to see gay marriage ultimately defeated will still be winning men and women to a biblical view of marriage through the gospel of Jesus Christ.
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, my retirement will still not match my treasure in Heaven.
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, "Jesus Is Lord" will still be the greatest truth in the Universe.
True/False: The day after the election, regardless of who wins, we will still know that God is in control.

Leisure
A boulevard of graceful trees,
A life of leisure, if you please,
Why do we think of long ago,
When into kitchens you might go,
Or into pantries, and the hall,
Whose closets -- We have filled them all!
With magic things, machines and such,
Mylady may need only touch,
A button here, a lever there,
And quickly from the merest air,
A demon vaults to do whats bid,
Which moments ere was safely hid.
And to her bidding doth he spring,
In midst of which, the phone may ring.
The work delayed, all is not lost,
The time we saved is worth the cost.
So we have more of it right now,
We'll find a way to spend somehow.
We'll chatter endlessly anon,
And soon enough, the day is gone
We have so much, we choose to waste,
Our lives in ever growing haste.
The drive-thru near the mall is slow,
So quiet meals we must forego.
The labor-saving that we do,
Was meant to trim an hour or two,
Instead of time in which we thrive,
We spend it in the Rush Hour drive.

A Fragrance
November 8, 2012
Katie nervously walked into the church youth group party that Linda had invited her to attend. She hadnt been to a church since she was a little girl and didnt know what to expect at a Valentine dinner with mostly strangers. But her heart started to calm when she found valentines at her plate that had been written for her from everyone there. They had cards for each other too, but it touched Katies heart that they would think to do that for her, a visitor to their group.
Katie felt so welcomed that she accepted Lindas invitation to a church service. There she heard about Gods love for her in spite of her sinfulness, and she embraced Jesus forgiveness. The youth group had given her a fragrance of Gods love, and God opened her heart to trust Him.
If God so loved us, we also ought to love one another, the apostle John said (1 John 4:11). Thats a love for our brothers and sisters in Christ as well as for those who dont yet know Him. Ray Stedman wrote, As Gods love shines into our hearts, we become more open to others, allowing the fragrance of love to drift out and attract those around us. The youth group did that for Katie.
God can spread the fragrance of His love through us today.
Lord, Im so thankful that because You first loved me,
I am able to love others. Please spread the sweet
fragrance of Your love through me to everyone
I interact with today. Amen.
A godly life is a fragrance that draws others to Christ.
