What I mean is, that Job’s relatives did nothing wrong, yet they died.

In the context of God’s hand in all things natural - I see His hand - but not for revenge.
God is reminding us to be prepared for tragedy - to help others in peril and to thank Him for surviving every day.
We are reminded to wonder at all His creations - from the smallest grain of sand to the highest seas.
Pray for everyone who is at risk today and every day.

The Bible says Israel is the apple of God’s eye and God will curse those who curse Israel.

Thanks
SO much for that invaluable input !
Seriesly, it was great !
So constructive and insightful .. especially the way you avoid that whole broad brush thing !
And talk about bringing others around to your point of view .. boy howdy !
It's amazing that the rest of the country even knows how to get out of bed in the morning without your herculean can-do spirit !
Btw, how are those super.texas.powers workin' out for ya vis a vis that wetback infestation we keep hearin' about ?
Hope I can remember to bookmark your 'in forum' page and check back often for similar words of wisdom and a refresher on that whole Dale Carnegie approach you seem to have mastered !

Thank you, yes, God does allow rain on the just and the unjust. God also has used this time of obama to wake up the sleeping people that sometimes it is best not to accept something new and flashy. what is tried and true is what works.

Yankees are just pussies is all.75 MPH winds, buttload of rain. In Oregon we call that a winter storm. Sometimes the trash can blows over. And I'm right on the coast.

it is weird, admittedly. After all, a shark fell out of the sky onto a golf course. And then the Bears need a last-second field goal to win, and now southern Jersey is getting washed out to sea ...
It could be the baseball Gods, angry about the way that the World Series has become a non-event and Matt Cain only getting one start ... Zito is a flake and it is too cold for baseball in Detroit. We'll find out tonight what the baseball Gods think! The hurricane Gods strike on Monday afternoon! Bring it on, baby!!

This is nature, which has gone on since the beginning of time. This isn't God's judgement, but nature. God doesn't care about our politics, the UN, and other bullshit. He cares about our morals as people. This is the same bullshit I heard about idiots saying God supporting 9/11.

Why should hurricane Sandy be a judgment from God?
Didn’t He judge the nation in 2008 when He produced an abberation like Obama?
Apparently 50% of the American voters still don’t see the signs.
