The emergence of wheat and milk allergies could be explained by a new account of the human race's 'out of Africa' expansion that began 60,000 years ago.
The comprehensive review of humans' anthropological and genetic records gives the most up-to-date story of how the global migration had a dramatic effect on human genetic diversity.

Pingitty ping ping.
Nov. 6 begins the “back to Africa” movement.
The picture had this cation:
“While Australopithecus Afarensis was an established walker 3.2 million years ago, it was Homo Erectus that shed his body hair while Neanderthal man was the first metrosexual, the programme’s producers claim.”
Sure enough, the “metrosexual” naked guy is riding his skateboard. “Get some pants on, Metro!”
He’s setting a bad example, not wearing a helmet, etc.
From Kenya to Hawaii to Chicago to DC.
It's like how many kids actually have ADHD...
The article refers to people moving into Europe a mere 10,000 years ago ~ but they were NOT Europeans ~ they are from the Middle East where people had been developing agriculture.
The writer, if not the researchers, seems to claim that Coeliac and Lactose intolerance are a consequence of mutations ~ which is obviously so wrong ~ the pre-agricultural condition was one where people did not eat any plants from the family that includes rice, wheat, barley, oats, rye ~ and a number of other grasses.
There's also a rice allergy that affects 10% of Japanese and an unknown percentage of other East Asians. Lactose intolerance is the normal state of adult mammals ~ of every species anyway. If anything the mutation is in genes that enable humans as adults to digest milk, and it has been discovered in infinite detail and published for many years. 5% of Europeans are lactose intolerant BTW. 3.54% of Americans are wheat gluten intolerant (it's only 1.2% in Europe ~ a Founder effect)
More detailed analysis shows that the T-cells have attacked and killed your villae in your small intestine ~ and they take 3 days to grow back. Secondary symptoms are ~ well, they are just too numerous to list.
The condition is very real. The cure is very simple.
It's a natural process ~ you should stop making lactase about the age of 6 ~ unless you have a mutation that allows you to continue producing lactase ~ that's an enzyme you need to digest milk. You need it 'cause if you don't have it the flora and fauna in your intestinal tract will do the job for you and produce IMMENSE volumes of gas ~ HUGE IMMENSE volumes ~ GINORMOUS even!
That's not lactose intolerance. Lactose is digested in the small intestine. Milk actually makes food stay in the stomach longer (fat and protein content). So if the Korean kid vomited within seconds, it never reached his intestines and had absolutely nothing to do with whether he could digest it.
Most of my closest relatives, and certainly the inlaws, have this problem. It can be a nightmare ~ seriously.
The rule is HUMAN BEINGS CAN BE AND ARE DIFFERENT!
Yup, same as Placebo effect where a very high percentage of people are cured for no apparent reason. Mind over matter, that is where the truth lies. Lays. :)
Sure, right. Wheat gluten intolerance is cured by not eating anything containing wheat gluten. There is no mind over matter in this one.
I am lactose sensitive and i was before it was cool (its not really cool), but the wheat allergies kill me, my uncle and cousin both have celiac disease that almost killed them before doctors found out what it was. I work retail that sells alot of packaged food products. Every day now I get someone asking if our products are gluten free because they have an allergy. The commonality among these people are that they are fat, gluten allergies generally disrupt the uptake of nutrients, ie you starve to death. You need to do more push aways, not blame it on an “allergy”
University of Maryland has found that about 3.5% of the American population are born with the genes that should ultimately give them gluten intolerance but about half of them don't exhibit any symptoms until after age 50.
So, yup, you can find plenty of fat folks out there suddenly getting Celiac in their senior years!
One of the triggers is minor abdominal surgery of any kind ~ gall bladder removal, appendectomy, patching for a bulging rupture, and worst of all, colonoscopy where "they" actually snip something for later review! Although the research is, at yet, sketchy, what may be happening with surgery is the T-cells are refocused on their duty by the injury, and when they return to standby it's with a vengeance ~ and there goes your beer and pizza!
There are others with INTERMITTENT Celiac ~ you can be munching along and all at once out of the blue WHAMMO for months on end unless you change your habits. So, you cut out all the wheat gluten for several months, and it's back to normal ~ until the next time.
Again, it's all related to genes ~ you got 'em, it's got you!
Lady we met had a 20s something son with that condition and he loved to go out on Friday's to drink beer with his buddies and eat pizza. He couldn't do that but about once a month though due to the gluten intolerance problem of his leaky intestines, but he refused to listen ~ a common problem with folks with Asperberger's.
Then there's plain old ordinary grass allergy ~ and that's to the whole enchilada in many cases, including something people frequently believe is so processed there's nothing left ~ WHEAT FLOUR ~ there are plenty of peptides in there that can and do trigger inflammation ~ just give them time!
didnt say it starts when you are born, something triggered the effect in my uncle when he was in his late 40s and my cousin when he was in his 20s. No surgeries for my cousin, dont know about my uncle since we dont talk about colonoscopies and such in our family.
I would say that the bulk of the people coming in and demanding we sell gluten-free options are women in their 30s and 40s. I have no problem with people going gluten-free as a “healthy lifestyle” choice, which lowering your processed food consumption must be. I just laugh at the people who are 100pnds overweight and buying 5 boxes of our gluten-free brownie mix while slurping a chilled latte from Starbucks.
I understand that it is a disease and quite a serious one at that. The fact that I almost lost an uncle to it raises my hackles when it is the new scapegoat for people who are unwilling to admit that they may be at fault for their personal obesity problems.
SOME people get sick because they THINK they will get sick. Documented. Every physician will tell you a certain percentage of people will have every symptom but not the virus or alergy. Not everyone, obviously, but a percentage.
