I plan on fixing my truck, Changing my daughter car's Spark Plugs and MOWING!
We’re going to the sprint car races at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO.
After you finish your truck, could you drop by and fix mine?
What’s broke? I am putting on a muffler and tail pipe.
Clean and restock the camp trailer, go to a college football game that my granddaughter is cheering, clean house, do books, relax.
Going to a BBQ Bash and eat me some good BBQ pork.
I’ve got canning to do. Tomatoes, beets, and squash! Also, continuing my search for a clothing manufacturer that will work with my designs. I’m making stylish concealed-carry clothing for women, pics are at the website in my tagline.
Amateur. I plan on failing to clean my garage for the 1,042nd weekend.
Deer season opens, but damn it’s hot.
After many months of recuperating from complications from an unplanned c-section, and finding out that I do not need additional surgery to repair anything else, hubby and I are moving our 7 month old baby boy to his upstairs room, since I’m allowed to do stairs now! :) Baby and I have been shacking up in the downstairs dining room converted to nursery.
I am going to let it rest a while and work on my back porch this weekend, making a screened porch where it had been enclosed as a storage room by the previous owner. I am putting up a ceiling currently, then comes painting and the screening.
Where? I want one! !!!
I will mow my lawn.
“Not a particularly positive activity” you say. “Not negative, but pretty much neutral.” I disagree.
I - there is an “I”. Had I lived more than a few decades (mere years?) earlier, I wouldn’t be. Period. Modern health care rocks.
Will - it’s my choice. It’s an option, the option exists. For all too many people, it isn’t an option.
Mow - I live in a culture featuring enough luxury that mowed lawns is the norm (as is irrigating it with drinking water) unto a requirement. I have a broad option of tools to do the mowing with; I choose an unpowered “reel” mower, inexpensive low-tech no-emissions ... though I should probably fix the fossil-fuel-guzzling self-propelled beast the other half insisted on.
My - it’s MINE. Well, other than the “rent” of property taxes, and the ongoing mortgage which I _could_ pay off with other assets. Owning property, albeit 3/4 acre (with forest!), is a Good Thing(TM).
Lawn - it’s grass. It’s flat. It’s green. It’s not out to kill me like flora in the southwest, it’s not impossibly sloped or bumpy, and it’s not brown (yet, winter is coming and no snow to cover it).
THIS IS GOOD.
I will mow my lawn.
Ren fest Saturday. Play in worship band Sunday and have chili cookoff after.
I will be doing what my wife tells me to do. (Am I the only honest guy here?)
There is an outfit in Argyle Texas.
If serious, I can set you up. They get low mileage ones and make them street legal for the USA.
Nothing like a vehicle with 3/4 inch solid aluminium doors!
Do they have a web site?
1) helping a friends son work on his BoyScout Eagle project
2) going up to Estes Park for the annual color change tour my family takes
3) Dave Ramsey financial peace class (week 3)
