WHERE IS OBAMA TODAY? Why isn't he in DC taking care of the weather disaster?
july 1 2012 | mamzelle

I have done several searches, looked at several news sites. I can't find any news about where the president is today. On Drudge, I'm reading that DC has terrible problems after the storms. Where is the president? Does anyone remember how Bush was blamed after Katrina? Is Obama anywhere bringing comfort to the Beltway?

Heard he was at Camp David.

He could give a crap less about this Republic. He is an opportunistic liar and has his own life worked out. If Democrats want to follow this idiot, let them. They have absolutely no argument to keep this marxist around.

“Then, on Tuesday he jets off to France. Can’t be here for the 4th ya know.”

Saving money he is (on our $$$million$$$)....ha ha ha...Fly to France to campaign for foreign donations.Unlike you or I and hundreds of millions of other patriotic folks who are proud to be legal citizen’s of our great Republic and celebrate the 4th of July.

He hates Camp David.....maybe the wookie is spending the weekend gutting the place to have bonfires.

I read (breitbart) that his campaign would be in Paris, but is Obama actually going himself?

This is a time where a president should do something at least ceremonial for the distress of the Capitol, whether he can do much substantive...well, we already know the answer to that.

That he is insensitive to ignore the Capitol while the power is out for so many residents and the heat is so tremendous---this is opportunity!!

DC residents are spoiled compared to residents of other US cities and are likely to be unhappy that their Precious is not handy for hand-holding during this dreadful time of cell phone outage and slow internet.

Does his handlers ever point out his selfishness and insensitivity? Maybe they are too dumb to know, or Obama ignores them.

A security issue?

Certainly, with communications in question, power down except backup, AC on the fritz, utilities in question and the huge constant surveilance subject to glitches, am sure he feels threatned. He knows he is not popular and people do stupid things when the system is broken.

Really? That guy would not know which end of a plug to use.

Do people seriously think he would have anything to add to an local utility emergency?

I know we don’t like the guy, but it’s this type of stuff that makes worry about all of America.

People should have chainsaws and generators. Why would anyone rely on the government for any assistance.

He can’t even play golf very well. Sending Mooch on permanent vacation will cost the taxpayers. Better she’s in the kitchen making sammiches for El Presidente.

Aloha Janey!

He skipped town and headed for Camp David for the weekend.....away from the storm front, the press and possibly some golf. But little did he know that the storm front covers nine states, from Foggy Bottom to Indiana, last I heard. If all goes well, he'll be back home tomorrow if all goes better than that the air service will be down and the roads closed.

Well, that's about it for the good news reporting for today.

I bet he’ll be trying to find shows to show up on like Letterman or Leno. Thank G-d they’re not shown in Aussie-land as if I’d watch it anyway.

The point being, a captain should stay with his ship if it's in trouble. But if it were GW, don't you think he'd be out with a chainsaw?

His presence would be support in a ceremonial fashion. "I'm here with you." It's our Capitol, after all, he's the president who lives in our capitol.

Most of us conservatives can take this sort of thing, storms and power outages, in stride, but DC is the liberal of all liberal US cities and full of helpless dependents. Which means--they'll be all the angrier at inconvenience and discomfort. I see a political opportunity.

Maybe Romney should stop by Home Depot, buy some generators and chain saws, and saw some trees out of the way.

You are somewhat correct. I live in a row house now and I have gas-powered tools that can clear a road in 30 minutes. I always stay ready.

That’s probably a bad idea....I doubt Mitt ever handled a chain saw before and would probably cut off his arm trying to start it....

Though he could hand out water and supplies and point out his opponent s at Camp David....goofing off..

Better idea. Just make your presence known and felt. It's good politics and it's just kindness.

Do you realize how many natural disasters we've had with complete indifference from Obama, from Nashville, to the snows of '10...?

He doesn't care, and the MSM doesn't criticize his indifference, so it's like nothing happened.

But the folks in DC are a different sort, whiny bureaucrats with no-work jobs who are used to every little thing running perfectly. They will make a noise that can be heard--if we just knew how to put it to use.

I think he is hunkering down at Camp David with Jarrett, Axelrod and the Chicago crowd trying to figure how to throw Eric Holder under the bus....without giving him the chance to claim immunity and spill all the beans.

The ObamaCare ruling was nothing but a distraction - they have known that it was going in their favor for weeks, according to all the news stories and DC gossip. Whatever they had on Roberts was enough to force him to swing to the dark side. But Fast & Furious is out of their control and Issa doesn’t seem to be afraid of them at all.
