I take 2 medications known to aggravate cataracts and Glaucoma. The cataracts are becoming a major problem.
I got checked out this morning, no Glaucoma, no macular degeneration and the cataracts can be eliminated.
I've been sweating this one out for a while.
Surgery on the right eye May 29th, June 19 for the left.
You’ll come through this I’n even better shape sniper
Keep taking those pictures
Still you are I’n our prayers
Prayers up for a successful surgery and a full recovery.
“scratches his neck with his hind leg...”
LOL!!
If you currently wear glasses, check out this website on the kinds of new lenses that are being offered.
Suffering from bad eyesight that required glasses since I was 4 years old, I wasn't a candidate for lasik surgery due to my severe astigmatism. Instead I had the ReZoom lenses implanted about 8 years ago and I'm glasses free........they literally changed my life.
Here's the website of the Doctor who did the surgery.........

LOL
Prayers up for your surgery.
eI had cataracts so bad that I couldn’t read the street signage cause it was white lettering on a green background. The glare from sunlight was too much and the headlights at night gave off such pretty halos. I felt like I was walking around with a couple of white sheer curtains over my head. I wore glasses before the surgery and now have 20/15 in each eye.
The good thing is, we both just hit 65 and are now on Medicare with a Plan F supplemental, so it won't cost anything other than our regular monthly 'dues'.
I remember pleading with Mom...."How about just until I need glasses??"
HOPE YOU’VE NEVER TAKEN FLOMAX. Otherwise, having been through these hoops, my prayers are for your 100% recovery. Don’t expect perfection; it doesn’t necessarily happen. My cataract surgery produced less than perfect results, even from Emory University Hospital, but I am VERY thankful for the results, anyway.
Lots of people are unaware that if you’ve had Lasik surgery, you may not be able to have the cataract procedure.
Then, the doc asked me if I wanted him to "do" the left eye. DUH, well YEAH. Two months later he did the left eye.
Now, I have 20-20 in both eyes. I still need reading glasses.
For about two months AFTER the surgery I would still reach for my nonexistent glasses, nudging them up my nose...HEY, no glasses anymore! MIRACLE!!!
I’m glad you’re okay, but TTIUWOP, either of bullets or birds ;-)
Good luck with your surgery!
Be sure to keep that glaucoma in check. My Mom lost most of her vision from it.
I experienced the exact same phenomena as you. I did not realize it until after the surgery but everything had a yellow cast.
After the cataract surgery everything was so bright and white, and also clear.
SS my heart is with you - done the C’s abt 29 yrs ago. You should be fine as they’ve improved that op constantly.
Looking forward to your next batch of photos. You really have a talent that this op ought to improve even more!
God Bless.
A year ago had cataracts removed from both eyes. After one eye surgery noticed that everything looked yellow through the cataract left eye. While everything was so much brighter through the un cataract right eye. Side effects for Me. Had no floaters after the operation. But have one now in the left eye. Not that bad. Also my eyes are dryer and I need to take over the counter eye drop to lub them. LOL. After the operation my far sight is 20/30. Never will have 20/20 in the right eye do to a injury to the eye by a flying stone from a lawn mower. Note before the operation, talk with the doctor about making corrections to the replacement lens. They can improve your far sight or your near sign if needed but not both. I went with the far sight but need glasses for reading and computer work only. Good luck and a speedy recovery.
